Peace Hazardous BehaviorMonday morning, after carline, two paint cans had been dumped in front of our dumpsters and spilt. It took nearly 3 hours to clean up the mess with mops, towels, and saw dust to absorb the remaining paint. Improper disposal such as this is both illegal and often dangerous. Fortunately, it was latex paint of which could've been dried out and properly disposed of in the garbage without the mess. Check under the "Dispose of latex paint" in the link provided (https://www.hazwastehelp.org/HHW/latexpaint.aspx) for different ways to harden your latex paint for proper disposal. Also, the Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste Program will host a one-stop recycling event for San Leandro residents on Sunday, May 5th from 9:00-1:00 p.m. This event offers safe, legal, environmentally sound collection and disposal services for e-waste and hazardous waste such as paint, cleaners, batteries, and more. For more information go to www.StopWaste.org/OneDayEvent.PTG Meeting Come join us next Thursday, March 21st, for our PTG Social and Presentation. We have the pleasure of Mrs. Wendy Robinson, RD, CLC (parent of Dylan ’27) to lead us in a nutrition conversation. Mrs. Robinson will be discussing:

*The importance of maintaining adequate nutrition in school-aged children to enhance growth and optimize development. *Ways to include nutrient-dense foods in school lunches and snacks *Important nutrients that foster growth and development*Answer any questions on nutrition in adults.
