CAMP DATES: June 13 – 15 DAILY TOPICS: Day 1: The Search (Proverbs 3:6) Day 2: The Journey (Matthew 14:27) Day 3: The Treasure (Job 22:25 & Psalm 18:46) REGISTRATION DESK: Children will check in each day at the computer kiosks in the Lobby Each day the children will receive a security tag for that day that will be placed on their back Counselors will walk kids to their cabins

Please call for any supplies you might need. You have $25 to spend on decorating your room. Oriental Trading orders must be in by May 25. INFORMATION TO PARENTS: We will send out a general letter the first week of June with details of what to bring and not bring to the parents. CAMP PREPARATION & CLEAN UP: Monday, & Tuesday, June 11 & 12: Set up classrooms and the church from 10 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Clean up—Friday, June 15 from 2-4:00 p.m.. * All items can be found in the Team Room and can be used any time during the
week. Please return them to the Team Room at the end of the day.
Be Prepared Supplies: Two big bags, flashlight, Bandaids, water bottle, fruit bar, whistle, compass, misc. items not needed for a hike in the woods. Kids will race to the opposite side of the room to gather items for their team bag. They are to choose items to take with them on a hiking trip. Give them a few minutes to take turns gathering the items. The team with the most survival items wins.
I Spy Supplies: Pencils, I Spy sheet. Assist kids with finding & counting the animals and bugs on the sheet. Give them a sticker after completion.
Owl Bet You Can Supplies: Printed cards with owls. Break kids into groups or play as a large group Kids will take turns pointing out the owl that is different.

Follow the Leader Supplies: Camp CD & player Play music as you play a fun game of “Follow the Leader & Simon Says”
Animal Tracks Supplies: Booklet with animals & their tracks This activity requires a set-up before the kids come into the classroom. Tape the animal tracks on the carpet with clear Duct tape. Pretend to take the kids on a hike in the woods. Tell them they are going to look for various animals. They will match up the tracks to the animals in the booklet.
Feed the Squirrel Supplies: Brown Play Doh, squirrel cards Kids will make nuts for the squirrels with the Play Doh. They must look at the number on the card and make that many nuts.

The Treasure Chest Supplies: Coloring page on cardstock, crayons, sticky gems Put name sticker on back of paper. Allow kids to color the page and then apply gems.
Treasure Hunt Supplies: Bin with a variety of small items; including prizes for the kids to take home Tell the kids that they can turns putting their hands into the hidden treasure box. Each child gets one item to take home.
The Happy Dance Supplies: Camp CD & player Lead the kids in a fun fast– paced game of “Freeze Dance”. Music comes on and everyone dances. Music stops and everyone stops.
Extra Morning Activities
Camper, Camper Do What You See Supplies: CD player & CD Play music as you give simple instructions for the kids to follow. Some examples are; do the twist, turn around twice, jump up & down 5 times, dance and then freeze when the music stops. Camping Talk Have you ever gone camping? Where did you sleep? Where did you eat? What did you eat? How did you fix your food? Did you see any animals? What kind? Forest Animals Supplies: Play Doh, plastic table covering, picture of animals Instruct the kids to make an animal from the forest. Give examples with the pictures.

Crafts Wednesday
Discovery Camp Supplies: blue construction paper, pre-cut out tents, pictures of kids, stickers
or pictures of things in the woods to paste onto blue paper
Place the child’s name label on the back of the paper. Assist kids with gluing
items onto paper. Let them pick out stickers for their camping picture.
Explain that their picture will be put inside the tent, at the end of the week.
Thursday
Jesus Light the Way Supplies: Craft kit
Put camper’s name label on the back of the craft. Help them assemble the craft.
Friday Seek & Find the Treasure Supplies: plastic jars with lids, rice, treasure pieces, markers, laminated treasure
list
Instruct camper to color the lid with marker & pick a ribbon that will go around
the lid, when it is glued.
Place camper’s name label on the top of the lid. Assist child with gathering the
treasures.
Add rice and treasures to the jar. Secure the lid on the bottle and tie treasure list
to the top. Later, hot glue lid onto jar.
Extra crafts
Camper Finger Puppets Supplies: crayons & puppets
Kids can color the puppets and then play with them.
Dot Flowers Supplies: BINGO daubers, paper plates, glue sticks, green
leaves and craft sticks
Play the camper’s name label on the back of the plate. Show
them how to use the dauber. Assist them with gluing the leaves
to the craft sticks and then to the back of the flower.
Camping is a HOOT! Supplies: craft kit
Place camper’s name label on the back of the craft. Assist with as-
sembly of the craft as per kit directions.
Extra crafts
“What Does the Fox Say?” Supplies: Fox head, ears, eyes & nose, glue sticks, sharpies, cardstock with, “What does the fox say?” Give the kids the pieces of the fox. Ask a counselor to put the child’s name on the back of the white cardstock.
“Jesus Loves You S’More!” Supplies: Craft Kit A counselor can put the child’s name on the back of the craft and help assemble.

GAMES Wednesday
Search & Find Supplies: fish magnets, dole rods with string and magnets, blow up rafts, boxes,
stuffed animals, stickers, Swedish Fish candy
Set up two stations: 1– water and 1– forest
The lake is full of fish that the kids must catch for food. The boats are blow up rafts
that will be pulled by counselors. Kids will put their fishing poles in the water and try
to get fish into their boat. Fishing rods have magnets on the end and fish have
magnets on them. All kids get Swedish fish back on shore.
The woods are full of critters and the kids have to rescue the critters that are in traps,
They will be traveling through the woods on UTVs (2 scooters taped together and
pushed by counselors). They wild then take the critter to the forest ranger and her will
release them into the wilderness. Kids will get a sticker reward for rescuing the
animals.
GAMES Thursday
Over the River and Through the Woods Supplies: balance beam, pool with balls, blue sheets, tunnels, squirt bottle, string
or streamers for spider webs, trees, misc., story book, camp fire
Kids will travel through the woods with a counselor. They will face lots of
challenges; including crossing over a river on a log (balance beam), trudging
through the rain (volunteers spray kids), jumping into a bubbling brook (pool full
of balls), going through a narrow log (tunnel) and conquering the spider webs.
At the end of the adventure, they get to gather around the camp fire for a fun story.
GAMES Friday
The Rainbow Treasure Supplies: parachute, balls, prizes
Kids will experience joy and laughter as they bounce the balls back and forth in the
rainbow parachute.
Together with their counselors, they will go under the rainbow and enjoy it’s beauty as
the parachute gently floats above their heads. When the parachute is above their heads,
toss in the prizes and let the kids grab them as the counselors hold up the parachute.
Extra GAMES Duck...Duck...Goose Supplies: N/A
Sit the children in a circle, facing each other.
One child is chosen to be ‘It.’ It walks around the circle, gently tapping each other player in turn
on the head or shoulder, naming each player as a ‘Duck.’ Choosing one player to be the ‘Goose,’
It taps that player on the head (or shoulder) and says, ‘Goose.’
The player selected as ‘Goose stands up and chases ‘It’ around the circle, trying to tag her before
she gets all the way around the circle and sits back in the spot where Goose was originally sitting.
If the Goose is not able to tag It, then Goose becomes It and the game continues as per the previ-
ous steps.
If the Goose does tag It, the tagged player sits in the center of the circle and Goose becomes It for
the next round. The player remains in the middle of the circle until the next time a Goose is
tagged to replace them.
Our Forest Friends do This..
Supplies: 1 set of dice with actions & sounds of our forest friends; hop like a bunny,
howl like a wolf, jump like a frog, growl like a bear, etc.
Separate the kids into 2 groups. Take one of the dice. Let kids take turn rolling it.
What ever action or sound is facing up, that’s what the entire group has to do.
Swat the Mosquitos Supplies: Fly swatters, balloons, music
Break the kids into two groups and give them the fly swatters. They are to try and hit the balloons
and keep them in the air and away from people.
Play camp music as they have fun doing this activity.
