Volvo Penta exchange componentsThe Volvo Penta Exchange system gives access to a comprehensive range of remanufactured components from injectors and turbos to longblocks, engines and IPS drives offering a cost-effective alternative to repair and overhaul.

All Exchange components are completely restored to new condition and meet the same stringent quality and safety requirements as new parts. Exchange components are kept current with technical design changes and are offered with the same warranty as new Genuine Volvo Penta Parts.

Double your warranty Genuine Volvo Penta parts and exchange components are covered by our standard 12 month warranty. Have them supplied and installed by an authorized Volvo Penta dealer and well extend your warranty to 24 months including the labor. Consult your nearest dealer for more details.

3CONTENT

IPS is available as complete drive (excluding SUS, propellers, upper tension ring and rubber rings).Upper gear, steering unit servo (SUS) and lower gear including intermediate housing are available as separate units.

Longblock includes: Cylinder block assembly with pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, camshaft, cylinder heads, rocker mechanism, oil pan, valve cover.

Engine includes: Cylinder block assembly with pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, camshaft, cylinder heads, rocker mechanism, oil pan, valve cover, intake and fuel systems, exhaust and turbo, water pump.

Excluded (generally): flywheel housing, alternator and starter motor.

Cylinder head ready for installation with valves and springs and bearing housing (if applicable).

Components fulfilling the criteria are restored to what is, technically, new condition. Wear parts and those not fulfilling the criteria are replaced with new genuine parts. All components are organized to correspond to the bill of material, which contains all design changes to secure that what is remanufactured always fulfills our latest technical specifications. When the compo-nents are reassembled, they are carefully tested to

verify product performance. Finally, the component is painted, to give it the same finish as a new part. In all aspects, Volvo Penta exchange components are technically new. And whats more - used components have been given a new life as exchange components up to 85 per cent of the raw material has been recycled through the remanufacturing process.

4 REMANUFACTURING FOR GOOD REASONS

Remanufacturing for good reasonsIt all starts with the used component, the core, which is the raw material of the remanufacturing process. The cores are completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and inspected in order to determine their condition. Cores not fulfilling our stringent requirements are discarded and the raw materials recycled.
