Bayley Baker Nominated by Ichabods Moving ForwardBayley volunteers with the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation and has worked for Residential Living, and has served as an intern in the University Public Relations office. She has served as president of Alpha Lambda Delta and Mortar Board national honor societies, is the current president of Bods in PR, She also served on the executive staff of Washburn Student Government Association as the Public Relations director. Bayley has been listed on the President’s Honor Roll for five consecutive semesters. Bayley is a senior from Clearwater, Kansas and is majoring in mass media.

Sydney FoxNominated by Zeta Tau AlphaSydney has served in many leadership positions in Zeta Tau Alpha, Washburn Leadership Institute, Washburn Student Government Association and is currently the student intern for the Office of Student Involvement & Development. She has volunteered at events for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, the Big Event for three years, and is a founding member of the student philanthropy organization, Ichabods Moving Forward. She was a 2019 Washburn’s Who’s Who among Students and the 2017-2018 WSGA Senator of the Year. Sydney is a senior, majoring in Communication Studies, with a minor in Leadership Studies, from Winfield, Kansas.

Shelby HerringNominated by FYE Peer Education ClubShelby has served the community with her work at the Harvesters Food Bank, the YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment – Overnight Shelter and coordinated and led the Washburn Alternative Spring break trip to New Orleans, LA. Her involvement at Washburn University includes support staff for the Ichabod Success Institute, FYE Peer Educator, Peer advising for Academic Advising and LinC – Bonner Scholar. She has received honors with membership in Sigma Tau Delta, Mortar Board and achieving President’s Honor Roll for four semesters. Shelby is a senior from Leavenworth, Kansas, majoring in English Literature, with a minor in Poverty Studies.

Aubrey MillerNominated by Panhellenic CouncilAubrey has served the Washburn community through her leadership in Zeta Tau Alpha and Panhellenic Council serving as president and as the past VP of recruitment. She has volunteered in the community at Ronald McDonald House, Race Against Breast Cancer, Making Strides, and Couture of Cancer to name a few. Aubrey has received honors on both the President and Dean’s honor rolls and her membership in Mortar Board and Psi Chi Honor society. Aubrey is a senior, majoring in Psychology from Topeka, Kansas.

Emma StaatsNominated by the Leadership InstituteEmma has served the campus community through involvement with the Washburn Leadership Institute, staffing Bods feeding Bods: food and commodities pantry, and working in many departments across campus including Residential Living and New Student Orientation. Emma served her community through the Topeka and Shawnee County Human Trafficking Coalition and Pine Ridge, Topeka Housing Authority. Her honors include membership in Mortar Board, NONOSO, and Phi Kappa Phi. She has received multiple scholarships and honors across campus. Emma is a senior Integrated Studies, major from El Dorado, KS.

Isaac Bird Nominated by FYE Peer Education Club Isaac has served the students with his role as senior peer educator with the Club. He has also held memberships in Christian Challenge, Washburn Residential Council and Friends of the Mabee Library. Isaac has served the Topeka community through the Washburn’s Big Event, volunteering as an instructor for High school Art Day, and he consistently volunteers for Mabee Library during Junior/Senior days. He has received honors with membership in Mortar Board honor society, and has appeared on the Dean’s List for six semesters. Isaac is a senior majoring in Art Education, from Topeka, Kansas.

Brian ClavijoNominated by Zeta Tau AlphaBrian has served the Topeka and Norton communities through translation, being bilingual in Spanish and English. He also served on the highway and street clean-up crew and Habitat for Humanity. Brian has served as a student leader on Campus Activities Board and Washburn Student Government Association. He is also working to recruit men for the first Latino fraternity in Washburn’s history. Brian has received honors on both the President’s and Dean’s honor roll. As a first generation student, he has been proud to say that he is succeeding at Washburn and Washburn has helped him succeed. Brian is a junior majoring in Legal Studies, from Norton, Kansas.

Jim HenryNominated by Washburn Sales & Marketing Executives Jim has served the Washburn community through his leadership within Washburn Student Government Association, as the past vice president, Kappa Sigma Fraternity as the current president, and as a Summer Orientation counselor intern through New Student Orientation. He has served our community through the Military Heroes Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Best Buddies, Harvesters, Forge, American Red Cross, and Blue Cross Blue Shield to name a few. Jim has received honors through membership in Order of Omega and Beta Gamma Sigma and the Dean’s List. He is also a two-time recipient of the Kappa Sigma Scholarship Essay Competition in 2017 and 2018. Jim is a senior majoring in Business with a Marketing and Finance emphasis, from Abilene, Kansas.

Paul Mismaque Nominated by Ichabods Moving ForwardPaul has served our community through volunteering for both the Big and Little events, the American Red cross and the Military Heroes campaign, the official philanthropy of his fraternity. He has served the Washburn students through his experience with Club, as a Senior Peer educator, and as the public relations director with Washburn Student Government Association. He is also the past president of Kappa Sigma fraternity where he was inducted into the Dr. John W Ryan Leadership Circle in 2018. He has also received the Outstanding Peer Education Student Award and Greek Man of the Year. Paul is a senior double majoring in Marketing and Economics from Saint-Quentin, France.

Zac Surritt Nominated by Washburn Student AmbassadorsZac has served the student body with his involvement with Washburn Student Government Association, serving as the past president. He has also been a summer orientation counselor and a founding member of Hope through Headphones. He has serving the Topeka community with his involvement with the Big and little Event, Habitat for Humanity and Military Heroes 5K. He has received honors with membership in Mortar Board and Order of Omega honor societies. Zac is a senior majoring in Public Administration, from Meriden, Kansas.
