VSS Creative Virtual Photography
Club started in 2012. More than 2,600
members form all over the world joined
this virtual club since then.
From this group entries in six categories
are received monthly; Avant Garde,
Creative Portraiture, Creative Pictorial,
Creative Nature, Creative Monochrome
and Photo Journalism.
A maximum of eight entries per
photographer are considered by the
adjudicators whom mostly are full and
part time lecturers at VSS Creative
College, including Gus from the UK,
and headed by myself.
The goal has always been to have the
TOP 10 winners of each category
published in an annual glossy ‘coffee-
table’ book. TOP 10 2018 seem to
make this dream a reality.
The quality of the 2018 work is beyond all
expectations, this printed book represents
some of the best creative photography of
2018.
The photos featured are more than 700
winning images from January to
December 2018.
TOP 10 winners are featured
alphabetically with a small bio of
photographer together with his her winning
images of 2018.
The last chapter, ‘From our Judges’
features work of the adjudicators whom for
obvious reasons could not enter the
competition.
the first publication of our annual
photo-book that is a who’s who in
modern SA photography.

Over the past year and a half, I have had the
privilege to post my work on this group.
See .... I'm maybe just like you, in that we see
this world a little bit different to the average
photographer, and rather use our cameras to
create art, or should I say, a bit more
creatively than the norm.
Here Hien, you have created a platform for us
all to display our art form, our creative self,
and a place where we can really stretch our
imagination without the feeling of intimidation
or regret, a place where we can break free
from all the general rules of photography and
a place where we can share together as
creatives, a place where we can make and
meet new friends and share in each other's
technical abilities.
If you like me... I have been so inspired by all
your work.. the amazing black and whites, the
creative photo paintings, the fantasy
composites, the creative nature work... and ..
and ... and by being exposed to all this it gives
me the inspiration to go out and create new
exciting work.
Hein..... I don't know how you are able to
choose the best Top 10 images each month or
even how you find the time to do so, but each
and every one of them is amazing in their own
way... and its an honor to have one of my
images be part of this select group of images.
I have just found out that have won first place
for the Top 10 VSS Creative Photographer
2018. What an honor as its something really
special for me.
I would like to thank you all for all your Likes,
Harts, Wow's, amazing comments you have
posted on my images but most of all your
amazing photos and works of art that have been
such an inspiration to me
I really do hope that in some small way that my
work has inspired you in the same way.
