Once we find which VOC are related to every disease we could develop specific sensors that will allow us a fast detection and treatme This research will open possibilities for closer collaboration between scientists working in different fields. Every living organism has a specific volatile organic compounds (VOCs) fingerprint. Identifying certain VOCs, or monitoring their changes could be used to detect diseases in early stages.
