VWS2 – VIDEO WEB SERVER

1. Introduction & Features Thank you for buying the VWS2! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer. The VWS2 comes with a manual, an accessories pack (with RS485 connector), an adapter and a crossover LAN cable. • Compatible with most CCTV products • Auto Network Reconnection (ANR) with intelligent unstoppable recording after ANR • Supports dynamic IP address • Supports 4 alarm inputs • Duplex function: record and playback simultaneously at client site • Auto e-mail warning system / image upload to FTP site in case of external alarm • Unique video system 2. Rear Panel, Top Panel and Connections Rear panel (fig. 1) 1. LAN: Connect the VWS2 to the internet or LAN or directly to a PC with the enclosed cable. 2. Video Input (2 channels): to connect to a video source. 3. Alarm I/O (for advanced applications - see §8 and further). 4. POWER: Connect the supplied power adapter (12V/1.25A). Bottom panel: RESET button: to restore the default settings. Top panel (fig. 2) 5. Network LED: when lit, the network is normal 6. System LED: when it blinks, the system is normal. The figure to the right shows the possibilities to connect/control the VWS2: - A camera can be connected to the VWS2, with a DVR/ quad or not. - The VWS2 can be controlled directly by a PC, by a PC over the intranet

(LAN) or by a PC over the internet. ! The enclosed LAN cable is a crossover cable. It is possible your

configuration requires a straight through cable. If so, please purchase it from your local computer store. 3. Software Installation and Update !! The software is compatible only with Windows OS: WIN2000, 2003 and XP. 98 or ME are not recommended. Insert the enclosed CD in your CD-ROM drive, the installation will start automatically. The icons below will appear. The procedure below can also be used to install your software. 1. Connect the VWS2 (fig.1 #1) to your PC/notebook by means of the

enclosed LAN cable and switch your PC and the VWS2 on. 2. Click Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet Connections) > Network Connections, double

click 'Local Area Connection', click 'Properties' , select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and click 'Properties'. 3. Write down the original settings in order to restore them after the setup. 4. Set the IP address to "192.168.1.xxx" (xxx = 002 to 254 ; NOT 010!). Set the Subnet mask to "255.255.255.0". 5. If applicable: click Start (> Settings) > Control Panel > 'Network and Internet Connections'/'Internet options' (> Set

up or change Internet connection), select the 'Connections' tab and click 'LAN settings' > disable Proxy Server. 6. Open your browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape etc.) and enter the IP address (192.168.1.10) in the address line

and press ENTER. Click "Download Windows AP" to download the application program and save it to your HDD. 7. Double click 'setup.exe" and the application program will automatically be installed on your PC.

The five files above will appear in the file folder.

4. Static IP Setting 1. Connect the VWS2 (LAN connection - fig.1 #1) to your PC/notebook by means of the enclosed LAN cable and

switch your PC and the VWS2 on. 2. Click Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet Connections) > Network Connections, double

click 'Local Area Connection', click 'Properties' , select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and click 'Properties'. 3. Write down the original settings in order to restore them after the setup. 4. Set the IP address to "192.168.1.xxx" (xxx = 002 to 254 ; NOT 010!). Set the Subnet mask to "255.255.255.0". 5. If applicable: click Start (> Settings) > Control Panel > 'Network and Internet Connections'/'Internet options' (> Set

up or change Internet connection), select the 'Connections' tab and click 'LAN settings' > disable Proxy Server. 6. To configure the server IP, double click the "Video web server" icon, click 'SEARCH', select the unit and click 'OK'. 7. Enter user name, password (both default "admin") and click OK to connect. 8. When you see the control bar, you have successfully logged into the Video Web Server application program.

Click "System Config" to set up the Network setting. Get your IP address from your internet service provider. To add a new user, go to the 'Account' tab page and click "Add". The maximum length of a user name or password is 15 characters. The user levels are: SUPERVISOR: control all functions USER LEVEL: control advanced functions GUEST LEVEL: control basic functions only After the setup, click "Apply" to confirm the information.

9. Connect the VWS2 (fig. p.1 #1) with the ADSL or cable modem to allow operation from the internet. 5. Connect via the Internet 1. Double click the "Video web server" icon. 2. Enter user name, password and IP address (the ones you entered in §4 #8) and click OK to connect.

You can use the 'Address Book' button to choose a user name etc. used earlier. 3. When you see the control bar and a video image, you have successfully logged in.

Image (right click for full screen) When the video source is a DVR, the following control interface will also appear: (Refer to §10 for info on how to connect a DVR to your VWS2.) (icons as they appear from left to right): 1- Camera video inputs 2 - Quad screen, 7-9-10-13-16 screen 3 - Zoom, PIP, Select, Lock, Search, Enter 4 - Stop, Record, Rewind, Fast Forward, Pause, Slow, Play 5 - Menu, Left, Right, Up, Down, Exit When the record button is pressed, a file is created on the desktop, in which the recorded video is saved. One such file is limited to 6000 frames. If one file reaches its limit, a second file is automatically created and also placed on the desktop. When there is less than 200MB available on the HDD, the program will automatically stop recording. 7. Playback Screen This screen is displayed when a recorded file on the desktop is double clicked to view it.

8. Advanced Settings Click 'System Config' for the advanced settings: 1. Network setting: check with your network administrator or Internet service provider.

Web port: port used to control the VWS2 Mac: the equipment's physical address IP type: this device only supports static IP address ; to use a dynamic IP, a router is needed.

2. Mail setting: upon an alarm trigger, the video server will e-mail the current picture to the assigned recipients. If the password needs not to be verified, set 'Verify Password" to 'No'. Also see "10. c. Send E-mail" on p.8.

3. FTP settings: upon an alarm trigger, the VWS2 will upload the current picture to the assigned FTP site.

The default uploading port is #21.

4. Account Management: add/remove users (max. 6) and set authority. User levels: SUPERVISOR: control all functions USER LEVEL: control advanced functions GUEST LEVEL: control basic functions only Life time: you can set a period during which the user is allowed to control the VWS2.

5. Peripheral settings: See also "10. RS485 Connection" on p.8. For each input channel, you can select the source type, determine the Baud Rate and assign an ID number to the device.

6. Recording settings: to modify the storing path for recording files and snapshot images.

7. Toolbox: to upgrade the firmware and get the online user's information ! Do not reboot the VWS2 while it is upgrading the firmware. "Firmware Version" displays the current firmware version. Press 'Find' to search for an upgrade and click 'Upgrade Firmware' to install it. 'Info refresh' can be clicked to refresh the online users' information.

8. Alarm configuration: to operate the "alarm trigger recording" function. 'Post image number': select how many images need to be stored when the alarm is triggered. 'Alarm duration': set the alarm duration time 'Alarm record': enable or disable the alarm recording function "Alarm refresh": to clear the alarm message if it is still on the screen.

9. Dynamic IP Setting

a. Router Setting The values vary from router to router - first read its manual. 1. Connect PC and router to the VWS2 and switch everything on. 2. Click Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet

Connections) > Network Connections, double click 'Local Area Connection', click 'Properties' , select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and click 'Properties'. Select "Obtain an IP address automatically".

3. Confirm and close the open windows. Open your browser and enter the default IP address (192.168.123.254) in the address line. Then enter the login web page and enter the default password "admin" (on the left).

4. Click Basic Setting > Primary Setup > Change and change the router internet setting. Choose "PPP over Ethernet" and click "Save" > "Reboot".

5. Select Basic Setting > DHCP Server and activate DHCP SERVER. Set up "STARTING" and "ENDING

ADDRESS" and click "Save" > "Reboot".

6. Select Forwarding Rules > Virtual Server, enter "80" as port for VWS2 and click "Save" > "Reboot".

7. Select Advanced Setting > Dynamic DNS and setup "DDNS". Click "Save" > "Reboot" > LOG OUT.

b. Apply DDNS 1. Open your browser, connect to "http://www.dyndns.org" and click "ACCOUNT" > "CREATE ACCOUNT".

2. Register the information and click "Dynamic DNS"(add host) 3. The user can set up his own DDNS host. For example the user's Host name is "avtechtestdvr.dynalias.org". Then

click "Add host" to finish the setup.

10. RS-485 Connection

a. Connector Layout PIN 1 & 6 (RS-485A & B): serial communication lines to control digital

video devices like the DVR1A, DVR4QA, DVR4MQA and DVR16M. PIN 4, 7, 8, 9 (ALARM INPUTs): receive the alarm input to trigger the

VWS2 to send mail to the users (e-mail warning system). PIN 5 (GND): ground PIN 2,3 (NORMAL HIGH / LOW): to trigger an external device.

b. Remote Control DVRs 1. Establish the connection with a DVR device as follows:

2. On the DVR devices: If there is a 'REMOTE' section in the main menu, select it, if not, the 'remote' data are on the 'SYSTEM' screen. Set 'REMOTE MODE' to RS-485, set 'BAUD RATE' to 'selectable' and set 'ID' as you set it on the VWS2. 3. Set these "Peripheral" settings in the system configuration of the VWS2:

c. Send e-mail 1. Connect the sub-D plug of the VWS2 to the COM/NO ports of a sensor.

2. Set the Mail Settings in the system configuration as follows: NOTE: all necessary data can be obtained from your internet or mail provider (POP3/SMTP server). When the alarm is triggered, the alarm icon will appear above the displayed image as shown below:

11. FAQ 1. I do not have a network or internet connection. Can I still use the VWS2? Yes, you can connect the VWS2 directly to your PC or notebook for remote control and video storage purposes. 2. Can I use ISDN to connect to the VWS2? No ; the VWS2 can only be connected via ADSL or cable modem. It does not support ISDN connection. However, a router that supports ISDN, RJ-45 and port forwarding, can be used with the VWS2. 3. What kind of frame rate can be expected? This depends on the bandwidth and the average image size. The formula to calculate the frame rate is: bandwidth / (8 x average image size) = number of images per second. The average image size is: CIF: low=6Kb ; middle=9Kb ; high=12Kb ; VGA: low=24Kb ; middle=36Kb ; high=48Kb Example: at a 512Kbs bandwidth and low CIF image quality (1 image = 6kb),

the frame rate is: 512 / (8x6) = 512 / 48 = 10.6 images/second. 12. 1. Inleiding en kenmerken Dank u voor uw aankoop! Lees deze handleiding grondig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt. Als het toestel werd beschadigd tijdens het transport, installeer het dan niet en raadpleeg uw dealer. De VWS2 wordt geleverd met een handleiding, een zakje toebehoren (met RS485 connector), een adapter en een gekruiste LAN-kabel. • Compatibel met de meeste CCTV producten • Auto Network Reconnection (ANR) met intelligente opname die niet kan worden gestopt na ANR • Ondersteuning voor dynamische IP adressen • Ondersteunt 4 alarmingangen • Duplexfunctie: tegelijk opnemen en weergeven op de client site • Automatisch e-mail waarschuwingssysteem en opladen van beeld naar een FTP-site in geval van extern alarm • Uniek videosysteem 2. Achterzijde, bovenzijde en aansluitingen

Achterzijde (fig.1) 1. LAN: sluit de VWS2 aan op het Internet of LAN of direct op een PC met de meegeleverde kabel. 2. Video-ingang (2 kanalen): om een videobron aan te sluiten. 3. Alarm I/O (voor speciale toepassingen - zie §8 en verder) 4. POWER: verbind de meegeleverde stroomadapter (12V/1.25A). Onderzijde: RESET: om te standaardinstellingen te herstellen Bovenzijde (fig.2) 5. NetwerkLED: wanneer deze oplicht, is het netwerk normaal 6. SysteemLED: wanneer deze knippert, werkt het systeem normaal. De figuur rechts toont hoe u de VWS2 kunt aansluiten/besturen: - U kunt een camera aansluiten op de VWS2, met of zonder DVR/ quad. - De VWS2 kan door een PC bestuurd worden via een directe kabel, via het

intranet (LAN) of via het Internet. ! De meegeleverde LAN-kabel is een gekruiste kabel. In sommige omgevingen

is een rechte kabel vereist. Is dit het geval, koop deze dan in uw plaatselijke computerzaak. 3. Software installeren !! De software is enkel compatibel met de Windows OS: WIN2000, WIN2003 en XP. 98 of ME is niet aanbevolen. Plaats de meegeleverde cd in uw cd-romspeler ; de installatie start automatisch. De vijf iconen hieronder verschijnen. De software kan ook worden geïnstalleerd met de procedure hieronder. 1. Sluit de VWS2 (fig.1 #1) aan op uw PC/notebook door middel van de

meegeleverde LAN-kabel en schakel uw PC en de VWS2 aan. 2. Klik Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet Connections) > Network Connections, dubbelklik

Noteer de oorspronkelijke instellingen om deze na de installatie terug te kunnen invoeren. 4. Zet het IP-adres op "192.168.1.xxx" (xxx = 002 tot 254 ; NIET 010). Zet het Subnet mask op "255.255.255.0". 5. Zo nodig: klik op Start (> Settings) > Control Panel > 'Network and Internet Connections'/'Internet options' (> Set

up or change Internet connection), selecteer de 'Connections' tab en klik op 'LAN settings' > disable Proxy Server. 6. Open uw browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape etc.), tik het IP-adres in (192.168.1.10) in de adresbalk en druk op

ENTER. Klik "Download Windows AP" om het stuurprogramma te downloaden en bewaar het op uw harde schijf. 7. Dubbelklik op 'setup.exe' en het stuurprogramma zal automatisch worden geïnstalleerd op uw PC.

De vijf hierboven getoonde iconen zullen verschijnen in uw file folder.

4. Statische IP instellen 1. Sluit de VWS2 (LAN-aansluiting - fig.1 #1) aan op uw PC/notebook door middel van de meegeleverde LAN-kabel

en schakel uw PC en de VWS2 aan. 2. Klik Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet Connections) > Network Connections, dubbelklik

op 'Local Area Connection', klik 'Properties' , selecteer 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' en klik op 'Properties'. 3. Noteer de oorspronkelijke instellingen om deze na de installatie terug te kunnen invoeren. 4. Zet het IP-adres op "192.168.1.xxx" (xxx = 002 tot 254 ; NIET 010). Zet het Subnet mask op "255.255.255.0". 5. Zo nodig: klik op Start (> Settings) > Control Panel > 'Network and Internet Connections'/'Internet options' (> Set

up or change Internet connection), selecteer de 'Connections' tab en klik op 'LAN settings' > disable Proxy Server. 6. Om de IP-server in te stellen: dubbelklik op "Video web server", klik 'SEARCH', selecteer het toestel en klik 'OK'. 7. Geef uw gebruikersnaam en paswoord (beide standaard "admin") in en klik op OK om verbinding te maken. 8. Wanneer u de bedieningsbalk ziet, heeft u succesvol aangelogd op het Video Web Server stuurprogramma.

Klik op "System Config" om de netwerkinstellingen te regelen. Vraag uw IP-adres aan uw Internet service provider. Om een nieuwe gebruiker toe te voegen, klikt u op "Account Management". De maximumlengte van een gebruikersnaam is 15 karakters. De gebruiksniveaus ("user levels") zijn: SUPERVISOR: controle over alle functies USER LEVEL: controle over de geavanceerde functies GUEST LEVEL: controle over de basisfuncties Nadat u de nodige gegevens heb ingegeven/gewijzigd, klikt u op "Apply" om de gegevens te bevestigen.

9. Verbind de VWS2 (fig.1 #1) met de ADSL- of kabelmodem om deze te kunnen bedienen van op het Internet. 5. Aanloggen via het Internet 1. Dubbelklik op het "Video web server"-icoon. 2. Geef gebruikersnaam, paswoord en IP-adres in (die die u in §4 #8 hebt ingegeven) en klik op OK om aan te

loggen. U kan ook op de 'Adresboek'-knop klikken om een eerder gebruikte gebruikersnaam etc. te kiezen. 3. Wanneer u de bedieningsbalk en een videobeeld ziet, heeft u succesvol aangelogd.

Beeld (rechtermuisknop voor volledig scherm) Wanneer de videobron een DVR is, zal de volgende bedieningsbalk ook verschijnen: (Raadpleeg §10 om te weten hoe u een DVR aansluit op uw VWS2.) (iconen van links naar rechts): 1- Camera video-ingangen 2 - Quad, 7-9-10-13-16 kanalen 3 – Zoom, PIP, Selecteren, Vergrendelen, Zoeken, Enter 4 – Stop, Opnemen, Terugspoelen, Vooruitspoelen,

Pauze, Traag, Weergave 5 - Menu, Links, Rechts, Op, Neer, Afsluiten Wanneer de opnameknop wordt ingedrukt, wordt er een bestand gecreëerd op de desktop waarin de opgenomen beelden worden bewaard. Eén dergelijk bestand kan maximum 6000 frames bevatten. Als een bestand die limiet bereikt, wordt er automatisch een tweede bestand gecreëerd dat ook op de desktop wordt geplaatst. Wanneer er op de harde schijf geen 200MB meer beschikbaar is, zal het programma automatisch de opname stoppen. 7. Weergavescherm Dit scherm wordt getoond wanneer er een bestand met video-opnames op de desktop wordt bekeken.

8. Speciale instellingen Klik op 'System Config' voor de geavanceerde instellingen: 1. Netwerkinstelling: contacteer hiervoor uw netwerkbeheerder of Internet provider.

Web port: poort die wordt gebruikt om de VWS2 aan te sturen Mac: het fysieke adres van het apparaat IP type: dit toestel ondersteunt enkel statische IP-adressen ; om een dynamisch IP-adres te gebruiken heeft u een router nodig.

2. Mailinstelling: na een alarmmelding zal de VWS2 het huidige beeld naar de opgegeven adressen doormailen. Om zonder paswoordbeveiliging te werken stelt u 'Verify Password" in op 'No'. Zie ook "10. c. Send E-mail" op blz.17.

3. FTP instelling: na een alarmmelding zal de VWS2 het huidige beeld naar de opgegeven FTP-site sturen. De standaard poortinstelling is #21.

4. Accountbeheer: gebruikers toevoegen/verwijderen (max. 6) en profiel instellen. gebruikersniveaus: SUPERVISOR: controle over alle functies USER LEVEL: controle over de geavanceerde functies GUEST LEVEL: controle over basisfuncties Life time: u kunt instellen gedurende welke periode de gebruiker de VWS2 kan/mag bedienen.


5. Instelling randapparatuur: Zie ook "10. RS485 Aansluiting" op blz.17. U kunt voor elke ingangskanaal de bron selecteren, de transmissiesnelheid bepalen en een identificatienummer voor het toestel ingeven.

6. Opname-instellingen: u kunt zelf bepalen waar opnames en eenmalige opnames (snapshot) worden opgeslagen.

7. Toolbox: om upgrades van de firmware te installeren en gebruikersinformatie te zien ! Start de VWS2 niet opnieuw op tijdens een firmware-upgrade. "Firmware Version" toont welke de huidige firmware versie is. Druk op 'Find' om te zoeken naar een upgrade en klik op 'Upgrade Firmware' om deze te installeren. Klik op 'Info refresh' om de info over online gebruikers te vernieuwen.

8. Alarminstellingen: voor de alarmopname-functie. 'Post image number': selecter hoeveel beelden er moeten worden opgeslagen wanneer er een alarm is. 'Alarm duration': stel in hoe lang een alarm moet duren 'Alarm record': schakel de Alarmopname-functie in of uit "Alarm refresh": om de melding te wissen als deze nog op het scherm staat.

9. Dynamische IP instelling

a. Routerinstelling De te gebruiken waarden variëren van router tot router - lees eerst de

handleiding van de router. 1. Sluit een PC en router aan op de VWS2 en schakel alles aan. 2. Klik op Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet

Connections) > Network Connections, dubbelklik op 'Local Area Connection' en klik op 'Properties' , selecteer 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and click 'Properties'. Select "Obtain an IP address automatically".

3. Bevestig en sluit alle open windows. Open uw browser en tik het standaardadres (192.168.123.254) in op de adresbalk. Log dan in op de login webpagina en geef het standaard paswoord "admin" in (links).


4. Klik op Basic Setting > Primary Setup > Change en verander de internetinstelling van de router. Selecteer "PPP over Ethernet" en klik "Save" > "Reboot".

5. Selecteer Basic Setting > DHCP Server en activeer DHCP SERVER. Stel "STARTING" en "ENDING ADDRESS"

in en klik "Save" > "Reboot".

6. Kies Forwarding Rules > Virtual Server, tik "80" in als poort voor de VWS2 en klik "Save" > "Reboot".


7. Selecteer Advanced Setting > Dynamic DNS en stel "DDNS" in. Klik "Save" > "Reboot" > LOG OUT.

b. DDNS toepassen

1. Open uw browser, ga naar "http://www.dyndns.org" en klik "ACCOUNT" > "CREATE ACCOUNT".

2. Registreer de informatie en klik op "Dynamic DNS"(add host) 3. De gebruiker kan zijn eigen DDNS host instellen. De 'host name' is bvb. "avtechtestdvr.dynalias.org". Klik daarna

op "Add host" om de instelling af te sluiten.

Kan ik via ISDN in verbinding treden met de VWS2? Neen ; de VWS2 kan enkel aangesloten worden via ADSL of een kabelmodem. ISDN wordt niet ondersteund. Cliquez "Download Windows AP" et sauvegardez le programme de gestion sur votre disque dur. 7. Double-cliquez sur 'setup.exe" et le programme de gestion sera automatiquement installé sur votre ordinateur.

Les 5 fichiers ci-dessus apparaîtront sur votre ordinateur.

4. Réglage IP statique 1. Connectez le VWS2 (connexion RLE-LAN - fig.1 #1) à votre ordinateur au moyen du câble RLE inclus et allumez

Cliquez sur "System Config" pour régler l'initialisation du réseau (network). Obtenez votre adresse IP de votre fournisseur de services Internet. Pour ajouter un nouvel utilisateur, cliquez sur "Account Management". La longueur maximale d'un nom d'utilisateur ou d'un mot de passe est de 15 caractères. Les niveaux d'utilisation sont: SUPERVISOR: gestion de toutes les fonctions USER LEVEL: gestion des fonctions avancées GUEST LEVEL: gestion des fonctions de base uniquement Après l'initialisation, cliquez sur "Apply" pour confirmer les informations.

9. Connectez le VWS2 (fig. p.1 #1) avec le modem ADSL ou de câble pour permettre la gestion via l'Internet. 5. Connecter d'un site à distance 1. Double-cliquez sur l'icône "Video web server". 2. Entrez le nom de l'utilisateur, le mot de passe et l'adresse IP (les mêmes que dans §4 #8) et cliquez sur OK pour

connecter. Vous pouvez utiliser le bouton 'Address Book' pour choisir un nom etc. qui a déjà été utilisé avant. 3. Quand vous voyez la barre de gestion et une image vidéo, le programme de gestion est opérationnel.

Pause, Lecture lente, Lecture normale 5 - Menu, Gauche, Droite, Haut, Bas, Quitter Quand le bouton d'enregistrement est pressé, les images enregistrées sont automatiquement sauvegardées dans un fichier sur l'écran bureau. Un tel fichier est limité à 6000 images. Si un fichier atteint cette limite, un second fichier est automatiquement crée sur l'écran bureau. Quand il y a moins de 200MB disponible sur le disque dur, le programme arrêtera automatiquement l'enregistrement. 7. Ecran de lecture Cet écran apparaît quand un fichier de vidéo enregistré sur l'écran bureau est double-cliqué pour le regarder.

8. Réglages avancés Cliquez sur 'System Config' pour les réglages avancés 1. Réglage réseau: vérifiez avec votre administrateur de réseau ou votre fournisseur de services Internet.

Web port: port utilisé pour commander le VWS2 Mac: l'adresse physique de l'appareil IP type: cet appareil ne supporte que des adresses IP statiques ; pour utiliser un adresse IP dynamique, il vous faut un routeur.

2. Réglage Mail: quand l'alarme est activée, le VWS2 enverra l'image actuelle aux récipients désignés. Pour annuler la protection par mot de passé, sélectionnez 'No' sous 'Verify Password". Voir également "10. c. Avertissement par E-mail" à la p.26.

3. Réglage FTP: quand l'alarme est activée, le VWS2 enverra l'image actuelle au site FTP désigné. Le réglage standard du port est #21.

4. Gestion d'utilisateurs: ajouter/enlever des utilisateurs (max. 6) et déterminer leur niveau. Niveaux d'utilisateurs: SUPERVISOR: gestion de toutes les fonctions USER LEVEL: gestion des fonctions avancées GUEST LEVEL: gestion des fonctions de base uniquement Life time: vous pouvez déterminer pendant quelle période un utilisateur peut utiliser le VWS2.


5. Réglage périphériques: Voir également "10. Connexion RS485" à la p.26. Pour chaque canal d'entrée, vous pouvez sélectionner la source et la vitesse de transmission et entrer le numéro d'identification.

6. Réglage d'enregistrement: vous pouvez déterminer où les enregistrements seront sauvegardés.

7. Toolbox: pour installer des mises à jour du firmware et voir l'information d'utilisateurs ! Ne redémarrez pas le VWS2 pendant une mise à jour du firmware. "Firmware Version" montre la version actuelle du firmware. Cliquez sur 'Find' pour chercher une mise à jour et cliquez sur 'Upgrade Firmware' pour l'installer. Cliquez 'Info refresh' pour renouveler les infos d'utilisateurs en ligne.

8. Réglage d'alarme: pour la fonction d'enregistrement alarme. 'Post image number': sélectionnez le nombre d'images à sauvegarder lors d'un alarme. 'Alarm duration': réglez la durée d'un alarme. 'Alarm record': (dés)activez la fonction d'enregistrement d'alarme. "Alarm refresh": pour effacer l'icône d'alarme s'il se trouve encore sur l'écran.

9. Réglage IP dynamique

a. Réglage du routeur Les valeurs varient de routeur à routeur - lisez d'abord sa notice. 1. Connectez l'ordinateur et le routeur au VWS2 et allumez tout. 2. Cliquez sur Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and

Internet Connections) > Network Connections, double click 'Local Area Connection', cliquez sur 'Properties', sélectionnez 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' et cliquez sur 'Properties'. Sélectionnez "Obtain an IP address automatically".

3. Confirmez et fermez les fenêtres ouvertes. Ouvrez votre navigateur et entrez l'adresse IP standard (192.168.123. 254) dans la ligne d'adresse. Puis entrez la page d'accès et entrez le mot de passe standard "admin" (à gauche).


4. Cliquez sur Basic Setting > Primary Setup > Change et modifiez le réglage Internet du routeur. Choisissez "PPP over Ethernet" et cliquez sur "Save" > "Reboot".

5. Sélectionnez Basic Setting > DHCP Server et activez le DHCP SERVER. Réglez les "STARTING" et "ENDING

ADDRESS" et cliquez "Save" > "Reboot".

6. Sélectionnez Forwarding Rules > Virtual Server, entrez "80" comme port pour le VWS2 et cliquez "Save" > "Reboot".


7. Sélectionnez Advanced Setting > Dynamic DNS et réglez "DDNS". Cliquez "Save" > "Reboot" > LOG OUT.

b. Appliquer DDNS

1. Ouvrez votre navigateur, connectez à "http://www.dyndns.org" et cliquez "ACCOUNT" > "CREATE ACCOUNT".

2. Registrez les informations et cliquez "Dynamic DNS"(add host) 3. L'utilisateur peut initialiser son propre hôte DDNS. Le nom de hôte de l'utilisateur peut par exemple être

"avtechtestdvr.dynalias.org". Puis cliquez "Add host" pour terminer l'initialisation.


10. Connexion RS-485

a. Composition du connecteur PIN 1 & 6 (RS-485A & B): lignes sérielles pour commander des appareils

6. Abra el navegador (Internet Explorer, Netscape etc.), introduzca la dirección IP (192.168.1.10) en la línea de dirección y pulse ENTER. Haga clic en "Download Windows AP" para descargar el programa de aplicación y guárdelo en el disco duro.

7. Haga clic dos veces en 'Video Web Server.exe" y el programa de aplicación se instalará automáticamente en el ordenador. Les 5 iconos (véase arriba) se visualizarán en el ordenador.

Si está disponible menos de 200MB en el disco duro, el programa parará automáticamente la grabación. 7. 8. Ajustes avanzados Haga clic en 'System Config' para los ajustes avanzados 1. Ajustes de red: verifíquelo con su administrador de red o su proveedor de acceso a Internet.

Puerto Web: puerto utilizado para mandar el VWS2 Mac: la dirección física del aparato Tipo IP: este aparato sólo soporta direcciones IP estáticas ; para utilizar una dirección IP dinámica, necesitará un enrutador (router).

2. Ajuste Mail: si la alarma está activada, el VWS2 enviará la imagen actual a los destinatarios indicados.

Para anular la protección por contraseña, seleccione 'No' sous 'Verify Password". Véase también "10. c. Advertencia por email " en la p.9.

3. Ajuste FTP: si la alarma está activada, el VWS2 enviará la imagen actual al sitio FTP indicado. El ajuste estándar del puerto es #21.

4. Gestión de los usuarios: añadir/quitar usuarios (máx. 6) y determinar su nivel. Niveles de usuarios: SUPERVISOR: controlar todas las funciones USER LEVEL: controlar las funciones avanzadas GUEST LEVEL: controlar sólo las funciones de base Life time: puede determinar durante qué período un usuario puede utilizar el VWS2.


5. Ajustes periféricos: Véase también "10. Conexión RS485" en la p.9. Para cada canal de entrada, puede seleccionar la fuente y la velocidad de transmisión e introducir el número de identificación.

6. Ajuste de grabación: puede determinar dónde se guardarán las grabaciones.

7. Toolbox: para instalar las actualizaciones del firmware y visualizar la información de los usuarios ! No vuelva a activar el VWS2 durante una actualización del firmware. "Firmware Version" muestra la versión actual del firmware. Haga clic en 'Find' para buscar una actualización y haga clic en 'Upgrade Firmware' para instalarla. Haga clic en 'Info refresh' para actualizar las informaciones sobre los usuarios en línea.

8. Ajuste de alarma: para la función de grabación de alarma.

'Post image number': seleccione el número de imágenes que quiere guardar si la alarma se ha activado. 'Alarm duration': ajuste la duración de una alarma. 'Alarm record': (des)active la función de grabación de alarma. "Alarm refresh": para borrar el icono de alarma si se encuentra todavía en la pantalla.

9. Ajuste IP dinámico

a. Ajuste del enrutador (router) Los valores varían de enrutador a enrutador – Primero, lea su

manual del usuario. 1. Conecte el ordenador y el enrutador al VWS2 y actívelo todo. 2. Haga clic en Start (> Settings) > Control Panel (> Network and Internet Connections) > Network Connections,

haga clic dos veces en 'Local Area Connection', haga clic en 'Properties' , seleccione 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' y haga clic en 'Properties'. Seleccione "Obtain an IP address automatically".


3. Confirme y cierre las pantallas abiertas. Abra su navegador e introduzca la dirección IP estándar (192.168.123. 254) en la línea de dirección. Luego, introduzca la página de acceso e introduzca la contraseña estándar "admin" (a la izquierda).

b. Aplicar DDNS

1. Abra su navegador, conéctese a "http://www.dyndns.org" y haga clic en "ACCOUNT" > "CREATE ACCOUNT".

10. Conexión RS-485

Esto depende de la anchura de banda y del tamaño medio de una imagen. La fórmula para calcular la frecuencia es: anchura de banda / (8 x tamaño medio de la imagen) = número de imágenes/seg. Tamaño medio de la imagen: CIF: bajo=6Kb ; medio=9Kb ; alto=12Kb ; VGA: bajo=24Kb ; medio=36Kb ; alto=48Kb Ejemplo: a una anchura de banda de 512Kbs y una baja calidad de imagen CIF (1 imagen = 6kb),

la frecuencia de imágenes será de: 512 / (8x6) = 512 / 48 = 10.6 imágenes/segundo. 12. VWS2 – VIDEO-WEB-SERVER

2. Rückseite, Oberseite und Anschlüsse

Rückseite (Abb. 1) 1. LAN: Verbinden Sie den VWS2 mit dem Internet oder LAN oder unmittelbar mit einem PC über das mitgelieferte Kabel. 2. Video-Eingang (2 Kanäle): zum Verbinden mit einer Videoquelle. 3. Alarm I/O (für fortgeschrittene Applikationen - siehe §8 und weiter). 4. POWER: Schließen Sie den mitgelieferten Stromadapter an (12V/1.25A). Unterseite: RESET-Taste: um zu den Standardeinstellungen zurückzukehren. Oberseite: (Abb.2) 5. NetzwerkLED: wenn diese LED aufleuchtet, ist das Netzwerk normal. 6. SystemLED: wenn diese LED blinkt, funktioniert das System korrekt. Die Abbildung rechts zeigt Ihnen, wie Sie den VWS2 anschließen/steuern können. - Sie können eine Kamera an den VWS2 anschließen, mit einem DVR/ Quad oder nicht. - Der VWS2 kann mit einem PC gesteuert werden, über ein direktes Kabel, über das

Intranet (LAN) oder über das Internet. ! Das mitgelieferte LAN-Kabel ist ein gekreuztes Kabel. In machen Umgebungen, aber,

ist ein gerades Kabel erforderlich. Kaufen Sie in diesem Fall bitte ein solches Kabel in Ihrem Computerladen.

3. Software installieren !! Die Software ist nur kompatibel mit Windows OS: WIN2000, 2003 und XP. 98 oder ME werden nicht empfohlen. Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD-ROM in das CD-ROM Laufwerk ein; die Installation wird automatisch anfangen. Die Symbole (siehe links) werden erscheinen. Sie können auch das Verfahren unten verwenden um die Software zu installieren. 1. Schließen Sie den VWS2 (LAN-Anschluss - Abb.1 #1) an Ihren

PC/Laptop an mithilfe des mitgelieferten LAN-Kabels und schalten Sie Ihren PC und den VWS2 ein. 2. Klicken Sie auf 'Start' (> 'Settings') > 'Control Panel' (> 'Network and Internet Connections') > 'Network

6. Öffnen Sie Ihren Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape usw.), tippen Sie die IP-Adresse (192.168.1.10) in der Adresszeile ein und drücken Sie auf ENTER. Klicken Sie "Download Windows AP" um das Steuerprogramm herunterzuladen und speichern Sie es auf der Festplatte.

7. Doppelklicken Sie auf 'Setup.exe" und das Steuerprogramm wird automatisch auf Ihrem PC installiert. Die 5 Dateien oben werden in dem Ordner erscheinen.

4. Statische IP einstellen 1. Schließen Sie den VWS2 (LAN-Anschluss - Abb.1 #1) an Ihren PC/Laptop an mithilfe des mitgelieferten LAN-

um die Verbindung herzustellen. 8. Wenn Sie die Menüleiste sehen, haben Sie erfolgreich im Video Web Server-Programm eingeloggt.

Klicken Sie auf "System Config" um die Netzwerkeinstellungen zu regeln. Bitten Sie Ihren Service-Provider um Ihre IP-Adresse. Um einen neuen Benutzer hinzuzufügen, klicken Sie auf "Account Management". Die maximale Länge eines Benutzernamens ist 15 Zeichen. Die Benutzerebenen ("user levels") sind: SUPERVISOR: Steuerung aller Funktionen USER LEVEL: Steuerung der fortgeschrittenen Funktionen GUEST LEVEL: Steuerung der Grundfunktionen Nachdem Sie die erforderlichen Daten eingegeben/geändert haben, klicken Sie auf "Apply" zur Bestätigung der Daten.

9. Verbinden Sie den VWS2 (Abb.1 #1) mit dem ADSL- oder Kabelmodem um ihn über das Internet bedienen zu können. 5. Anmeldung über das Internet 1. Doppelklicken Sie auf das "Video web server"-Symbol. 2. Geben Sie den Benutzernamen, das Passwort und die IP-Adresse ein (diejenige, die Sie in §4 #8 eingegeben

haben) und klicken Sie auf OK um einzuloggen. Sie können auch auf das 'Adressbuch'-Taste klicken um einen eher gewählten Benutzernamen usw. zu wählen.

3. Wenn Sie die Menüleiste sehen, haben Sie erfolgreich im Video Web Server-Programm eingeloggt.

Eine solche Datei kann maximal 6000 Frames groß sein. Wenn eine Datei diese Grenze erreicht, wird automatisch eine zweite Datei, die auch auf den Desktop gesetzt wird, angefertigt. Wenn weniger als 200MB verfügbar ist, wird das Programm automatisch mit der Aufnahme aufhören. 7. Wiedergabeschirm Dieser Schirm wird gezeigt wenn man sich eine Datei mit Video-Aufnahmen auf dem Desktop ansieht. 1. On-Screen Datum- und Zeitangabe 2. Jetziges Bild speichern 3. Stopp 4. Pause 5. 1. Netzwerk-Einstellung: Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Network Administrator oder Internet Service Provider. Web Port: Port zur Steuerung des VWS2 Mac: die physische Adresse der Anlage IP-Typ: dieses Gerät unterstützt nur eine statische IP-Adresse, um eine dynamische IP-Adresse zu benutzen, müssen Sie einen Router verwenden.

2. Mail-Einstellung: Bei einer Alarmauslösung, wird der Video-Server das momentane Bild an die gewählten Empfänger emailen. Wenn das Passwort nicht verifiziert werden muss, stellen Sie "Verify Password" auf "No". Siehe auch "10. c. Send Email" auf Seite 9

3. FTP-Einstellungen: Bei einer Alarmauslösung, wird der VWS2 das momentane Bild auf die zugewiesene FTP-Seite hochladen. Der Standard Port zum Hochladen ist # 21

4. Account Management: Anwender hinzufügen/entfernen (max. 6) und Befugnis einstellen. Benutzerebenen: SUPERVISOR: Steuerung aller Funktionen USER LEVEL: Steuerung der fortgeschrittenen Funktionen GUEST LEVEL: Steuerung der Grundfunktionen 'Life Time': Sie können eine Zeit einstellen, während welcher der Benutzer den VWS2 steuern darf.

5. Einstellungen Peripheriegeräte: Siehe auch "10 RS485-Anschluss" auf Seite 9 Für jeden Eingangskanal können Sie den Quellentyp selektieren, die Baud-Rate bestimmen und dem Gerät eine ID-Nummer zuweisen.


6. Aufnahme-Einstellungen: um den Speicherpfad für Aufnahmedateien und Schnappschüsse zu ändern.

7. Toolbox: um die Firmware zu aktualisieren und "Online User"-

Informationen zu bekommen.

! Rebooten Sie den VWS2 während er die Firmware aktualisiert. "Firmware Version" zeigt die augenblickliche Firmware-Version. Drücken Sie 'Find' um ein Upgrade zu suchen und klicken Sie 'Upgrade Firmware' um sie zu installieren. Sie können 'Info Refresh' klicken um die "Online User"-Informationen zu aktualisieren.

8. Alarmkonfiguration: um die 'Aufnahme durch Alarmauslösung'-Funktion zu bedienen 'Post image Number': wählen Sie wieviel Bilder bei einer Alarmauslösung gespeichert werden müssen. 'Alarm Duration': stellen Sie die Alarmdauer ein. 'Alarm record': aktivieren oder deaktivieren Sie die 'Aufnahme durch Alarmauslösung'-Funktion. 'Alarm refresh': um die Alarmmeldung auf dem Schirm zu löschen.

9. Dynamische IP-Einstellung

a. Routereinstellung Die zu benutzenden Werte variieren von Router zu Router – lesen Sie zuerst die Bedienungsanleitung des Routers. 1. Schließen Sie einen PC und einen Router an den VWS2 an und schalten Sie alles ein. 2. Klicken Sie auf 'Start' (> 'Settings') > 'Control Panel' (> 'Network

and Internet Connections') > 'Network Connections', doppelklicken Sie auf 'Local Area Connection' und klicken Sie auf 'Properties', wählen Sie 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' und klicken Sie 'Properties'. Wählen Sie "Obtain an IP address automatically" (automatisch IP-Adresse bekommen)

3. Bestätigen und schließen Sie alle offene Fenster. Öffnen Sie Ihren Browser und tippen Sie in der Adressleiste die Standardadresse (192.168.123.254) ein. Loggen Sie auf der Login-Website ein und geben Sie das Standardpasswort "admin" ein (unten).

4. Klicken Sie auf 'Basic Setting' > 'Primary Setup' > 'Change' und ändern Sie die Interneteinstellung des Routers. Wählen Sie "PPP über Ethernet" und klicken Sie "Save" > "Reboot".


5. Wählen Sie 'Basic Setting' > 'DHCP Server' und aktivieren Sie 'DHCP SERVER'. Stellen Sie "STARTING" und "ENDING ADDRESS" ein und klicken Sie "Save" > "Reboot".

Ja, Sie können denn VWS2 unmittelbar an Ihren PC oder Laptop anschließen und so alles steuern und speichern. 2. Kann ich über ISDN eine Verbindung mit dem VWS2 herstellen? Nein, der VWS2 kann nur über ADSL oder Kabelmodem angeschlossen werden, ISDN wird nicht unterstützt. Dennoch kann ein Router, der ISDN, RJ-45 und 'port forwarding' unterstützt, wohl mit dem VWS2 benutzt werden. 3. Welche Bildfrequenz darf ich erwarten? Das hängt von der Bandbreite und der durchschnittlichen Bildgröße ab. Um die Frequenz zu berechnen: Bandbreite / (8 x durchschnittliche Bildgröße) = Anzahl Bilder pro Sekunde. Durchschnittliche Bildgröße: CIF: niedrig=6Kb ; durchschnittlich=9Kb ; hoch=12Kb ; VGA: niedrig=24Kb ; durchschnittlich =36Kb ; hoch=48Kb Beispiel: Bei einer Bandbreite von 512Kbs und einer niedrigen CIF-Bildqualität (1 Bild = 6kb)
