Yale Veracitor VX SeriesThis series of trucks is available in twoconfigurations.The Veracitor Base truck offers first-rateperformance for standard-dutyapplications and is geared to minimisecost of acquisition without compromisingperformance.The Veracitor Value truck providesexcellent performance for standard andmedium-duty applications and isoptimised for lowest hourly cost ofoperation.EnginesEngines feature a rigid cast iron block andmain bearing caps.Hydraulic valve lifters eliminate the needfor manual adjustment. All engines includehardened exhaust valve seats. All enginesare Tier 2 emissions compliant and featureclosed loop emissions regulation systemsthat continually monitor exhaust andadjust fuel/air mix. Fuel SystemThe Mazda LPG engine uses a singlebarrel non adjustable carburetor with anLPG injector and a regulator/vaporizer.The Engine Control Unit controls the LPGinjector fueling.The Yanmar fuel system has an Electro-mechanical controlled throttle providingexcellent response time. Super quick glowplugs allow the engine to start quickly andreliably under cold conditions, the coldstart device delivers a cleaner exhaustunder cold conditions by advancing thefuel injection timing based on watertemperature. Emissions have beenreduced by controlling fuel injectiontiming according to engine load. TransmissionTwo transmission selections are availablewith engine configurations that will fulfill awide variety of material handlingapplications. 1) Standard Electronic featureselectronic inching, electric shift control,neutral start switch, and anti-restartprotection and heavy duty clutch packs.A single pedal controls both inching andbraking. 2) The TechtronixTM 100 has all theStandard Electronic features plus an AutoDeceleration System.
Autospeed HydraulicsWith optional Auto-Speed Hydraulics theengine speed is automatically increased toprovide full hydraulic power. ThePacesetter VSM maintains the currenttravel speed (or prevents travel) until theoperator steps on the accelerator. Nooperator inching is required andproductivity and efficiency is increased bysimplifying operator actions.Cooling System The cooling system employs a 43cm bladepusher- type fan. A permanently lubricatedwater pump and a high capacity, cross-flow radiator ensure rapid heat dissipation.The sealed cooling system operates at 15psi, the coolant recovery tank allowsvisual inspection of coolant level. Atransmission oil cooler is integrated intothe radiator and is located in the side tank.The optional combicooler radiator featuresan externally mounted transmission oilcooler for increased heat transfercapability. All radiators are softmountedfor durability.Drive AxleThe drive axle is designed to withstandheavy-duty applications and absorb shockloads. Amagnetic sump plug collects any metalparticles circulating in the axle oil toprevent component wear.BrakesBrakes are duo-servo hydraulic, self-energizing, and automatic adjusting drumbrake assemblies. Asbestos-free brakelinings are bonded to steel shoes and actagainst a cast iron drum. Single circuitmaster cylinder has sealed fluid reservoirand features a fluid level sensor whichactivates an indicator light located on theinstrument panel.Hydraulic Power SteeringHydrostatic steering provides responsivecontrol and eliminates mechanicallinkages for reduced surface shock andsimplified maintenance. The steeringwheel is 30cm in diameter with a texturedsurface grip and spinner knob, andrequires only four turns lock-to-lock. Thecentre mounted steer cylinder is located
within the confines of the steer axle forprotection.Steer AxleConstructed from cast steel, the steer axleis rubber shock mounted to the frame forreduced wear and vibration. The CSE(Continuous Stability Enhancement)system enhances lateral truck stabilitythrough reduced steer axle articulation,while simultaneously allowinguncompromised uneven surface travel.Operator’s CompartmentBase truck features cowl mountedhydraulic control levers positioned on theright side of the steering column.Value trucks feature AccuTouchTM
electrohydraulic controls integrated intothe operator’s right-side armrest forsuperior ergonomic actuation. Automotive-style pedal arrangement witha large, single inch/brake pedal isstandard. Intellix Vehicle System Management(VSM)VSM acts as a master truck controller,providing extensive monitoring and controlof truck functions and systems.CANbus technology reduces wiringcomplexity and enables communicationsbetween truck systems. The ergonomicallypositioned dash display transmitscontinual feedback to the operator andallows communication of service codes.On-board diagnostics enable quick andeasy troubleshooting. The electricalsystem features sealed connectors andHall Effect sensors for superiordependability.Hydraulic SystemHydraulic system incorporates a gear typepump with cast iron body for quietefficiency. System is protected fromoverloads by a main relief valve for the liftcircuit and secondary relief valve for tiltand auxiliary functions. Oil is doublefiltered through a 100 mesh suction linestrainer and 10 micron return line filter.Hydraulic tank is integrated into the frame.For AccuTouchTM electrohydraulic controls,an emergency lowering valve is providedto allow the load to be lowered in theevent of power loss. O-ring face sealfittings are used in all high pressurehydraulic connections.
