ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-2016:

VYASA The programme was conducted on 13th August 2015 in a government schools held at Z.

P. H. School, Tadepalli, Z. P. H. School, Vaddeswaram, Z. P. H. School, Revendrapadu for the

benefit of the students. The topic selected for competition was “Leader whom I like the most”

for students of class 6th & 7th either an Essay writing or painting on their interest. The prizes

were given to winners on the occasion of 15th of August, 2015. Independence Day celebrations

at K L U campus.

The main motto of this event is to encourage children by conducting drawing and

essay writings competitions to enhance their competitive spirit by developing their creative

and imagination skills.

SISHUBODHANA

The Sishubodhana activity is meant for educating the children of Daily wage workers

who are working in KLU Hostels. The students and staff of KLU are conducting tuition classes

for the children below 10 years in the evening time. Because most of their parents are

uneducated. These tuition class was very helpful to the children and educative. The children’s

and their parents are conveying their gratitude to the teachers & staff for conducting classes in

the evening time.

TABLOID

SSP (Students Sensitisation Programme) wing took an initiation to release tabloid

monthly in the university. A tabloid is a newspaper having pages half the size of those of the

average broadsheet, typically popular in style and dominated by sensational stories. It is a 4

sided newspaper which includes latest burning issues, in and around activities, riddles to help

thought process, Interviews of hierarchies and art mania.

Issue -1 was released on 5th September, 2015 about the “Missile Man” Dr. A.P.J. Abdul

Kalam and an article on Brain Drain. An interview from our University’s Chancellor and an

art column was also included.

Date: 09/09/2015 Annadhanam by YUVATHARAM FOUNDATION

An event was conducted at Yuvatharam Foundation at village Vaddeswaram. This

organization is running an orphan home and had 300 orphan children’s this home. KLU

educating & empowering the rural people by conducting awareness camps, educational camps,

health camps etc. Apart from these activities, one day our team went to orphan home along

with our KLU students interacted with the children and staff. We conducted games, singing

competitions, quiz etc and make the children’s happy. KLU team provided food to the tiny tots

and the needy people for a day on 9th September’15.

Date: 11/10/2015 HEALTH CAMP

KLU team has conducted a free Medical camp at Manchikalapudi on 11th October 2015

in association with Young India Volunteer Organization, Vijayawada. The main aim of the

medical camp is to provide free medical check-up and medicines to the poor & needy people.

The camp screened general health problems, B.P., injuries, E.N.T.s, gynec, diabetes and

hypertension etc by the experience doctors (Dr. Manohar (M S OPTHAL), Dr.Prasanna

Lakshmi (M D GYNEC), Dr. P. Venkatesh (M D Gen Medicine)) and distributed the

medicines. About 50 members of CEA volunteers, 10 Medicos from Young India, Siddhartha

Govt. Medical College also have attended the camp. This camp raised the health awareness

among the poor people and informed the importance of healthy life. 200 people got benefited

from the camp was very successful. The poor people was appreciated of the KLU Management

and other organizers for organizing the medical camp and it was very helpful to them.

RUN FOR UNITY KLU –CEA organized a rally on “Run for Unity” programme. The rally was flagged

off by Shri. Dr. Habibulla Khan, Dean KLU Student affairs. The “Run for Unity” rally was to

pay a tribute to our great leader “SardharVallabhai Patel” on behalf of “Rahtriya Ektha Diwas”

and “Sardhar Patel Jayanthi” and lead the charge towards Shreshtha Bharath on 31st October

2015 in the University. As our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi recalled the mantra of “Ek

Bharat: Shresth Bharat”, inspired these words of Shri SardarVallabhai Patel, the “iron man” of

India. He gave us “Ek Bharat” (United India), and we should all work towards creating “Shresth

Bharat” (Foremost India). So, we gathered the students of KL University started the event by

running together holding some placards with definite slogans inside the University on 31st

October ’15. Around 1000 students were participated in the rally.

The satisfaction of giving away a pair of clothes knowing that they will be put to

good use weighs more than simply owning them. So the team CEA has conducted an

event in the University by collecting old clothes or accessories from the students and

distributed in various Orphanages, Blind Schools and to the needy people on 7th

November’15.

SNAPGREEN

Team CEA has come up with an event called SNAPGREEN where the “Selfie goes

green”. This is to promote plantation in the society. Following are the steps followed.

Take a sapling and take a selfie holding a placard “SnapGreen” and post in on face book

further nominating their friends. We request all readers to do by shearing by this news letter.

DISTRIBUTION TO POOR PEOPLE

On behalf of MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, KLU an event

called DISTRIBUTION TO POOR was conducted by NSS volunteers from 16th

October to 18th October, 2015. The event includes the collections of rice, books, pens

and funds.

In this regard a circular was circulated to all class rooms of Mechanical

Engineering department to inform about the event. In this event with the kind hearts of

students NSS volunteers collected the following items.

2. Books & pens

3. Fund=5,100/-

The collected rice, books and funds are donated to SHREE SHIRDI SAI DHEENA

JANA SEVA SAMITHI by Prof. Rangaiah, Principal, Law College and Prof. K.Rama

Kotaih along with NSS volunteers on 19.10.2015.

FLAG DAY FUND

“Armed Forces Flag Day Fund” collected in the K L University requested to all the

Heads of Departments to inform, contribution to the flag day fund at Rs.10/-and Rs.20/-from

the students, non-teaching & faculty of the University. CEA In-charges “Flag Day Fund”

collected in every department. This fund is utilized for the number of welfare programmes

instituted by the Department of “Sainik Welfare” for the benefit and empowerment widows,

disabled soldiers - sailors - airmen, ex-servicemen and their dependants and also for the serving

personnel.

Date: 10/12/2015 NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY

The event is organized by CEA-EEE department as a part of “National energy

conservation Day” occasion on 10/12/2015. The students and faculty members of EEE

department are participated in the event. The Rally is started with slogans and banners at K L

University campus and after that CEA team reached the Pedavadlamudi village and started the

rally on the main roads.

At Panchayati office meeting is conducted with village people and given presentation

about the Advantages of LED bulbs, solar power and Government subsidy schemes. Students

of EEE department interacted with village people and clarified their doubts. The pamphlets are

distributed and posters are attached to walls of office.

After that CEA team went to Revendrapadu, Z.P.H school and interacted with students

regarding usage of LED bulbs, solar power and Government subsidy schemes.

PUZZLE MANIA

KLU-CEA organised Puzzle Mania programme on 2nd January 2016 in Z.P. High

School Vaddeswaram. The event has been started in the afternoon session. This event is

conducted as a part of New Year celebrations. We have decided to conduct a fun event in the

government schools for 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th class students. At first hour CEA volunteers distributed

the chits randomly according to that each student will be given a puzzle to solve. We conducted

two levels. In first level they will be given a groups10 minutes of time and we selected some

of the students. Level 2 is conducted for selected students. We selected top 3 members in 6th &

7th .and top 3 in 8th & 9th .we distributed gifts to the winners. Puzzle Mania event beneficiary

to help students to think reasoning ability will be improved may obtain time managing

capabilities. In this programme CEA Event Incharge (Ravali) and CEA volunteers distributed

scales, arisers, pencils and Jamantry boxes to the students.

Venue: Guntur Orphanage Programme

About Orphanage

Mr. Kota Satyam is the president of the orphanage, Dayahrudaya Orphanage,

Amaravathi road, Guntur he has been supporting the street children, semi orphans, and child

labors in shaping up their careers as literates. There are currently 55 children below the age

group of 17 and their daily needs are taken care by the funds given by local people.

KLU-Department of CSE-CEA organized Orphanage programme on 07/02/2016 at

Dayahrudaya Orphanage, Amaravathi road in Guntur. CSE NEMSIS members participation of

this programmes.

Based on this saying, we the NEMSIS team raised hands together for the needy people

within our reach. We bought Pencils, Scales, Pens, chocolates & Towels to fulfill the current

requirements of the orphanage. CEA Volunteers interacted with the kids, knew their daily

schedule, shared our schooling experiences with them, fun added with songs, dances, games.

At the end of the day, all the innocent minds and beautiful hearts left everlasting footprints

which increased our compassion for serving the needy. In this programme CEA faculty

NIBHANDH

CEA has planned to organised an Essay writing competition on 12th January'16 for the

students of K.L University. On the eve of Sri Swamy Vivekananda's birth anniversary celebrations.

On the topic "Role of Science & Technology in the development of new capital of Andhra Pradesh."

This programme was conducted at FED room 608. Grab the opportunity to pen down your creative and

innovative thoughts 158 students take the opportunity for their creative and innovative thoughts.

GUIDE Programme

Let it be education, sport or any other, all that a person need is motivation which

energizes and directs a person towards their goals. So as a part of motivation programme, CEA

organized an event called GUIDE at Child Aid Foundation for the students of 8th, 9th and 10th

standard. Where students are keen and puzzled about deciding on the right career. We had a

great time interacting and spending wonderful time with them. Children have very actively

participated in this event. Nearly 50 CEA students participated in Pusthakdaan programme.

Awareness in Technologies at Child Aid Foundation KLU-CEA organized an event called "awareness in technologies". The main idea of

PUSTHAKDAAN

Just as every year, CEA has organized an event called Pusthakdaan on 26th January on

the eve of Republic Day and the main idea of this event is to help the less fortunate by putting

the old books to use. It has chipped in as many books as possible to the school children of Child

Aid foundation in Vijayawada. Students distributed scales, books, erasers, pencils to the

students. Nearly 50 students participated in Pusthakdaan programme. This programme

orgranised Child Aid Foundation & Yuvatharam Founations.

India observes "National Immunization Day" on 16th March every year. The

observance of National Immunization Day is an attempt to enhance awareness for the

eradication of polio from planet earth. The above Pulse Polio Immunization stamp is a Special

Medical Camp

"Nothing tastes as good as feeling healthy". Treatment facilities, medical staff and medicines

are often not available, and the patient is left disillusioned and disappointed. Infect most

treatable ailments are often left undiagnosed resulting in the disease to spread and grow.

By the time people realise that the situation is getting out of their hands they are not left with

any options as remote villages seldom don’t have the facilities of modern and advanced

technologies. Also people who primary depend on agriculture can most definitely not pay the

extreme high prices of modern medicine.

So KLU-CEA has organized a Free Health Check-up Camp at Manchikalapudi on 20/03/2016

in association with Young India Volunteer Organization.

Diabetes Awareness Health Camp Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of

metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because

insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin,

or both.

Diabetes has become one of the major ailments majorly due to modern lifestyle and

living habits. Diabetes forces a person to adapt to very restrictive lifestyle where continuous

monitoring is a must.

One almost feels like a caged bird. To help improve diabetes awareness amongst people

in general and also spread the word about symptoms and remedies we the members of Team

CEA have organized a diabetes Awareness Health camp.

Sishubodhana

An event named 'Sishubodhana' was conducted on 20.03.2016 at Yuvataram foundation

by the volunteers of CEA. In this event the students class of Yuvataram foundation were

introduced to the new technologies existing in the present world. They were taught a few tricks

and formulae to solve mathematical challenges at a quicker pace. The students showed a great

zeal in watching educative videos and participated actively throughout the session by showing

keen interest and hence the event was successful due to the timely involvement of all the CEA

members.

Skilled Development Programme in Manchikalapudi

KLU-CEA organized skilled development programme on 20/03/2016 in Manchikalapudi. CEA

conducted Electrician, Sanitation & rod bending work house wiring, welding, motor mechanics

M.S Office computer oriented Programmes, cell phones repairing food processing, wormy

composting training programme, energy conservation programmes to purpose CEA volunteers

surveying in Manchikalapudi of Diggiralla Mandal.

Today's youth will govern tomorrow’s world. This is only possible when every single one of

them is in a position help influence decision making. Employment is a basic requirement as

well as parameter to help identify individuals with a knack of making good calls. There is a

major portion of our youth which lacks employability skills. To help improve the situation we

have adopted a two step process. The first being motivational classes which helps improve

confidence in people whose moralle have already taken a toll. The second step is the occasional

training classes which aim at improving technical and soft skills thereby improving chances of

employability.

HOLY

KLU-CEA has organized an event on the day of the holy in Yuvataram foundations

with a theme of natural colours after the celebrations of this event, later on distributed sweets
