Integrated SpO2 measurement
Robust medical color-coded connectors
2.4 m TwinTube™ sample line for maximal freedom of movement
Hardware performance designed for high-level testingHardware that helps lead to less appreciable errors in VO2 and VCO2 calculations—important when you’re conducting research, taking long-term measurements or designing specific training target zones.
Do-it-yourself analyzer swap Vyntus CPX oxygen analyzers are easy for customers to swap out
on their own. Simply open the back door, pull out the used cell,
and put in the new analyzer cell. Then perform a simple service
calibration, and you’re set for another two years. There is no need
to call in an on-site service technician to change the analyzer.

Digital volume transducer
Our lightweight digital volume
transducer (DVT) is a perfect choice
for testing high-level athletes. The DVT
flat-fan system doesn’t have the lag of
a turbine system or the need for
laminar airflow like a traditional
pneumotach. It adds minimal resistance
to airflow, key for athletes during high
ventilation/work-rate. The DVT is also
comfortable to wear while exercising
with mask or mouthpiece.
Polar®
heart rate ready
The Vyntus CPX sports medicine
package comes standard with a
Bluetooth® receiver that can be easily
paired with a Bluetooth-ready Polar
heart rate monitor or our Bluetooth
12-lead Vyntus ECG.
Testing in an exercise physiology laboratory often means working with one athlete right after another. Anything you can do to help automate
and speed up this process is important.
Smart tools help automate Vyntus CPX measurement
We’ve reduced the number of menus and mouse
clicks required to start and perform a test. All your
information is available from our new, smart
start-up menu:
• Perform a system green-light hardware check.
• Toggle between exercise modalities.
• Choose a data-collection averaging method.
• Let Vyntus CPX recommend a protocol to use based
on subject pre-exercise data or predicted equations.
• Build, change or select a protocol directly from this menu.
• Choose your data profile view.

Vyntus CPX has it all
The Vyntus CPX offers other features that make it the perfect choice for the exercise physiology and sports medicine markets.
• Vyntus CPX comes standard with integrated pulse oximetry for measurement of SpO2, and also includes
various other sensors—finger clip, ear clip and forehead reflectance.
• Spirometry (FVC, SVC and MVV) measurements are always included with each device.
• The Vyntus CPX metabolic cart comes with a complete two-year warranty as part of the standard package.
Extended warranties are also available.
Take Vyntus CPX to the next level! Vyntus CPX stores its data in a modern Structured Query Language (SQL) format, making it easily accessible to outside software packages such as Excel® for further statistical analysis.

Not just an application, but education!
Vyntus CPX isn’t just a preferable metabolic cart for testing purposes. It’s also a great
tool for teaching students about metabolic testing at the university level.
• Even with Vyntus CPX’s automated calibration, you can still perform and teach syringe calibration.
You can show students how it was done in the old days of testing!
• Teach the relationships of VO2, VCO2, VE, HR, PetO2, PetCO2, RER, time and work all at once
using the nine-panel graphic for both in-testing and evaluation phases.
• During testing, our new performance bar graph will highlight an athlete’s response to predicted
maximal values, providing students exposure to some of the various indices that entail subjects
reaching maximal criteria.
• Automated workflow can help guide students through a post-test procedure to teach the steps
needed to analyze the exercise bout: resting, ventilatory threshold, peak and slope analysis data.
• Multiple ventilatory threshold-detection analysis (aerobic, anaerobic and RC) is standard with
Vyntus CPX. Students can more easily see and learn about differences in V-slope, ventilatory
equivalents and end-tidal analysis using side-by-side graphics.
5
Vyntus ECGUpgrade your sports medicine package to include our new Vyntus
ECG, an integrated 12-lead ECG that uses Bluetooth technology to
provide quality data without the extra cabling.
Utilization of the proven Hannover ECG System® (HES-stress) allows
automatic evaluation and analysis of signals.
Vyntus ECG comes with both resting and stress program capabilities.

Take your testing out of the lab and on the run! Vyntus CPX is an excellent stationary testing device, but there are times
when you just need to test subjects outside the laboratory. For these
occasions, we have the Oxycon® mobile metabolic cart. Oxycon mobile
has been used by runners, bikers, skiers, mountain climbers and scullers.
It works almost anywhere you can test someone except underwater!
• The Oxycon mobile device lets you monitor subjects online up to 1,000 meters
away. The data are also stored on the device and can be downloaded later.
• The lightweight, small-profile modules can be worn on the front or the back,
allowing athletes uninterrupted freedom for their sports.
• Data can be transferred to SentrySuite® software for the same analysis
workflow as with Vyntus CPX.
• A two-hour, internal battery life meets the needs of most exercise sessions.
There is also the option of adding an external eight-hour battery.
• When you’re out on the road or up on a mountain, the last thing you need to
haul around is a calibration syringe. That’s why the Oxycon mobile device
includes automatic flow and volume calibration.
