The pony has been recovered by Newcat5tle police in possession of vVilliam Ralph, who states that he obtained it from Johnson in excbange for a pony described as follows ,~Bay gelding, 4 wbite feet, bl"e and streak on face, 5 years old, 15 hands high, branded SZ on near shoulder. Johnson is believed to be making his way to the Murchisoll, with this pony in his possession.

Sin. high, very slight build, fresh complexion, greyish moustache and heard, originally dark, cheeks shaved, slightly lame in left leg, nearly all his teeth missing, wore dark clothes and a walking overcoat. He has a sister, Mrs. James Silk. living in Pal'kville, a sister, 1Ul's. Richard Davy, in Geelong, and another, Mrs. Tbos. Clark, in Colac.
