W e had a great month that was full of enjoyable activities and kept us moving!

A few of us from Memory Care went to visit the Lawton Library where the staff had fun activities for us to enjoy. We were quizzed on our knowledge of birds then made some Cheerio bird feeders to take back with us.

Some of the residents went to visit the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo. We had a great tour guide explaining the history of the muse-um and watched a short video about one of the astronauts who was on the international space station. We were all ex-hausted from the trip but it was well worth it.

Step On it program - We are kicking off

our Step On It program this year on May

1st. We would like families to get in-

volved with this program. It was such a

success last year. Residents and

staff received pedometers. We walked

around the state visiting Michigan's light-

houses. This year we are walking across

the upper Midwest. We keep track of our

steps and compete with each other. There

will be two opportunities to walk with

staff daily. Once in the morning and once

in the afternoon, weather permitted. SO

LET"S GET STEPPING!!!!

We prepped for Easter by mak-ing Easter baskets, Easter Egg Rice Krispy Treats, & coloring Easter eggs. AL side made chocolate covered bird's nest with Cadbury eggs. We then enjoyed eating our creations! At right: Margaret C. & Mary Jo helping make East-er Baskets. Below: Carol B., Lois B., and Eula make colorful Easter eggs.
