WAC KUNG FUTHE IDEA
Why not start my own Kung Fu Team?
I love Wing Chun Kung Fu.
There is no team to practice with here at college.
Proposal
I intend to create a Kung Fu team here at Washington College. My goal is to raise
interest and support for such a team. I also want to educate people about the true nature
of Kung Fu.

My Websites Goals
The main purpose of my site is to help people to learn about Kung Fu itself and to learn about my goal of
creating a team here. The website will serve to generate support for the proposal from students and to
help me pitch the idea to the college.
On My Site
My intent is to create an effective proposal for the team on my site. This includes a timeline and an explanation
for why the college should support my plan.
I will use Word, Excel, Java and Applets in my site.
The Work
I had to do lots of research for the site in order to really convey what I want people to know about Kung
Fu.
I also Had to Find and interesting way to teach prospective teammates about Kung Fu so the team
wouldn’t be starting from scratch.
The Problems
The main problem I had was loading an interactive guide to learning Kung Fu onto my site it still isn’t
perfect. It is very useful though.
Information on the Site
The History of Kung Fu
History Of Wing Chun
How Wing Chun Was Developed
Why Learn Wing Chun?
Because it is a proven style.Because it is simple.
It is efficient. It can be used for an entire lifetime.
Modern Kung FuModern Kung Fu is now a sport.
I believe it is superior to karate in several important respects.
The First is in its philosophy. The Second is in its practicality.
Philosophy of Kung Fu
The Philosophy of Kung Fu is one of peace. The goal is not to win or to hurt people.
Kung Fu is about discipline and self control.
Practical Kung Fu
Kung Fu is a balance between two separate goals. The first is to look inward and master forms.
The second is Sparring. The goal of sparring is mainly to uncover ones
own weaknesses whether or not you win is unimportant.
