I am writing a letter of recommendation for Lynn Widseth. Ms. Widseth completed a 100 hour internship at Wacosa in Waite Park, MN during June and July 2011. Wacosa provides services to adults with disabilities. I supervised Ms. Widseth while she worked with our consumers who were looking for a community employment as a direct hire.

I found her to be a very genuine person who related well to our consumers. Previous experience working in this capacity was evident. Ms. Widseth was well liked by our consumers and was able to have very direct conversations with them about work skills and habits they needed to be successfully employed as well as help consumers identify their strengths that they would bring to an employer.

Ms. Widseth was able to fill in for myself while I was on vacation. Her communication both by phone and email was excellent as was her documentation skills we required. Assisting consumer’s with job seeking, Interviewing as well as meeting with area businesses to research and discuss employment possibilities for specific consumers were also part of the tasks that she did very well at and felt comfortable doing. Team communication with both internal and external members of teams was also an area that she was comfortable doing. She was tactful, honest and very good at advocating for our consumers.

I would highly recommend Ms. Widseth for any similar position. I believe that she invests herself into a position to assists consumers to reach their maximum potential and would be an asset to any company.
