Special Ed Athletics Last Wednesday, 13 November, students from Special Ed went to
Jubilee Park for our regional athletics carnival. It was a lovely sunny
day. There was lots of other schools there competing, everybody
that was there joined in and had a really fun day. Some of the
events we did were running, shot put, long jump, high jump and to
finish off we did relays. We represented Wagga High School with
pride and it was a good day to do the athletics carnival. Thanks to
all the staff and volunteers.

Building Positive Wellbeing Today, students participated in a wellbeing lesson that focused on
"Building Positive Wellbeing". The lesson asked students to identify
their own personal strengths and qualities. We also shared our
ideas about self esteem and ways that our peers can help recognise
what we are good at. To build protective factors we built, from the
house foundations through to the roof and chimney, the support
people we have in our lives. This lesson was supported with various
wellbeing clips dedicated to building a positive sense of personal
wellbeing. The lesson encouraged lots of conversation and shared
ideas. Students were given a bookmark with suggested coping
tools.
Mufti Day Last Friday, 15 November, SRC committee organised a Mufti Day
to raise much needed funds for Fire Services after the recent and
devastating Bushfires around Australia. Well done to everyone who
joined in, staff and students together raised $1,400 which was
donated to the Rural Fire Service.
