June 17, 2019 As we worked through our theme this year, Walk with God, Talk with God, we learned the importance of knowing God, reading the Bible, sharing with God in prayer - both speaking with, and listening for God. We wondered, "what does it mean to be in step with God?" We learned that God is Lord of all creation - of words and language, of math, of people, of living and non-living things. We learned to pray not only for our own needs, but for others and on behalf of others. We learned finger prayers and acronyms, and to remember to praise the God of creation for His goodness, mercy and love. We have walked with our students for the first year or one more year. As we walk in this world, we trust that the Spirit is going before us. As students grow into the next grade and as we send off this group of grads, we thank you parents for sharing your family with us and partnering with us on the journey. We thank God for the opportunity and blessing of getting to know these students - for their joy, their sense of humour, their creativity, perseverance, their energy, their peace and for all that makes them who they are. As we worked through our theme this year, Walk with God, Talk with God, we learned

the importance of knowing God, reading the Bible, sharing with God in prayer - both

speaking with, and listening for God. We wondered, "what does it mean to be in step with

Volunteers: A big thank you to our volunteers. We could not do 'school' without you! Thanks for assisting with class trips,

sports, driving, committee work, Board work, organizing, praying and all the many many ways you support Woodstock

Christian School. We thank God for you!

Class & teaching assignments: In previous issues of the Parentlink, we have published teaching assignments for next year.

Those are based on spring projections for the new school year. Recently, we have received a number of inquiries about

enrolment for September and anticipate that this will continue into the summer. Depending on numbers and class sizes, changes

in may happen to initial plans. Look for your "Welcome to School" or "Back to School" letter at the beginning of August. This

letter will introduce you to your new grade and outline what you will need for the new school year.

Buses: A reminder that this week WCS buses will leave school at 3:40 pm as we do not need to wait for the high school bus.

Bus Cancellations: We currently are running our bus fleet without a spare bus as some of our older buses are not operating

well. This means that due to some extended days and field trips/grad trip, there will be several route cancellations again this

week. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for assisting with transporting your children to and from

school on those days. There will be REMIND messages sent re these changes. See below for the cancellations for this week.

From the Transportation Team: With the WCS transportation team planning for a new year ... due to enrolment changes and

families graduating, bus routes may change significantly for the 2019-2020 school year. We strive to be accommodating to as

many families as possible, but with limited bus times and a large geographical area, it is a challenge to reach everyone. Thank

you to all families for getting your children to school, to bus stops, for communicating with drivers and bus captains, for all that

you've done to make school happen for our students. Thank-you to families who assisted us this past year by driving to a bus

stop and allowing us to save time. You will receive notice in August re pickup and drop-off times / locations for the new school

year.
