The Word of God tells us that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man (Luke 2:52 NIV). Just as we have a part to play in increasing in favour. One of the principles about gaining favour with God is to always say teachable. Anyone who despises instruction abdicates their rights to walk in the covenant blessings of God. Proverbs 11:27 says, “He who earnestly seeks good finds favour…” According to the Bible, there is none good but God. If I could summarise the search for favour into two words, this what I would say:

SEEK HIM Seek Him with your whole heart, soul an body. Seek Him through his word. Seek Him through prayer. Seek Him through obedience and through the body of Christ. Those who thirst for Him will be filled. HE WHO DESPISES THE WORD WILL BE DESTROYED, BUT HE WHO FEARS THE COMMANDMENT WILL BE REWARDED. THE

UNDERSTANDING GAINS FAVOUR, BUT THE WAY OF UNFAITHFUL IS HARD. PROVERBS 13:13-15

PRAY FATHER, I’M SORRY FOR THE TIMES WHEN I’VE SOUGHT YOUR BLESSINGS WITHOUT SEEKING YOUR PRESENCE. I

DON’T WANT TO BE LIKE THE ISRAELITES WHEN THEY HUNGERED FOR YOUR PROTECTION IN THE WILDERNESS, BUT

DIDN’T WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE. MAY MY HEART AND MY MOTIVES BE PLEASING TO YOU. I ASK THAT YOU HELP
