Walking Your Talk at Surrey Lake Park brings you into an oasis of peace and calm enjoyed by a wide range of wildlife. The first time I ever spied a heron in a tree was at this park. A great spot for contemplating higher vision and wisdom as you stroll by, or sit quietly under the bald eagle's nest. The lake is a permanent home to beavers and turtles, a temporary destination for migratory birds and water foul, and a place to play and splash around for coyotes. A circular walking trail rises above the lake on the eastern part of the park and provides a fabulous cardio walk. Varying levels on the path remind us that even though life brings us up and down on our journeys, we can learn a lot about ourselves by how we discern where to focus our efforts.
