General description of panelsClean Room Wall Panels Overview

General description of panels

General features

Wall panels are manufactured for modular clean-room systems designed for indoor installation within buildings.– M and G panels are performed as asymmetric sandwich-type glued panels for inner

non load-bearing partition walls connected by a tongue-groove. – R-panels are performed as symmetric sandwich-type glued panels for inner non

load-bearing partition walls connected via springs.– All panel connections are prefabricated, and panels can include ducts for wiring. – Panels form a part of a complex system designed and produced according to the

specified customer requirements.– The panel surface appears in either stainless steel or RAL colors.– Higher fire-resistance and X-ray protection is optional.

Fig. 1: Sandwich panelsDesign and features of all panel types meet the following requirements:– smooth surface that practically does not release any particles from the surface– round connection to the floor, lower ceiling and in corners (using sections) – all joints sealed by permanently elastic silicone– sealant in a shade that is as close as possible to the shade of the panel sheet – resistance to cleansing and disinfecting agents– harmlessness

Double-sided sandwich panels and partitionsClean Room Wall Panels Designing and mounting system

Assembly possibilitiesThe standard system enables to assemble a partition wall of up to 4 m height (+ height according to the lower section). Panels are designed and assembled so that the M and T terminations fit (in the partition level), or their derived variants for perpendicular con-nection (see the list of terminations). • Secure longer walls, which are followed by perpendicular panels, against fall by the

so-called wind bracing, a supporting structure or a construction wall.• For details refer to page 33.

Fig. 3: Assembly system (panel encoding) – standard partition max. height 4 m

Fig. 4: Assembly system (panel encoding) – ZIG-ZAG partition total height 6.1 m

Zig-Zag assembly type • For partitions higher than 4 meters use a so-called ZIG-ZAG system when the panels are designed with an offset (see figures above).

• In the M panel design combine special endings A + B. Maximum sum of panel heights of this assembly type is 6100 mm.

NOTICE!This system cannot be used in types, Me, Ge and Gr.

End corner panelsThe following section describe the M and G-type panels. For R panels refer to“Description of R-panels” on page 29.

K and L endings are used to connect a panel at a right angle. These endings can be used only once in the panel code. • For the needs of both-sided end panels use GG ending (e.g.

under interleaved door of Z type).• If a panel is connected, use it with an M ending. The joint is made by the so-called T-joint which is automatically supplied for endings in the required length. For transport reasons the T-joints are attached to panels on site.• T-joints for panels of M and G design are supplied separately

and the installer must attach these parts on site.

Fig. 5: End corner panels

Finishing cuts and T-joints

A vertical joint can also be fitted anywhere in the middle of the panel. • In such case, ensure that T-joints are in the required length.• Specify and order separately connecting pieces and pieces

for conductive joints.• To connect the crosspiece onto the building wall (i.e. where

no given dimensions is known at the moment), cut the panels to a U section with back bends.

• For this purpose, use ending V (or C).

• For upper termination, use the C ending as standard (see chapter Upper panel side).

• For under- and above-door panels (D and T type doors) use the N ending (see Connection with rotary door).

• For horizontal panel joint (split above-door panel or ZIG-ZAG system) of M design use the combination of A (bottom) + B (top) ending.

special glass with protection equivalent to the required lead thickness (400x400 mm as standard). Lead insert is always on the front side of the wing (on the side with hinges). The core of the door is performed in mineral wool.

– Installation panel I-X– Facing panel OT+ combined with OSB boards with bonded lead sheets

NOTICE!• The required thickness of lead sheet is specified by customer/others (no

calculations by FläktGroup).• Consider the position of sockets and switches, etc. to avoid disturbance of the

protective barrier.• Consider dimensions of panels and the weight restrictions (approx. 60 kg max).

Tubes for electric cablingFor running electric cables inside panels, vertically laid PVC tubes with 28 mm inner diameter are inserted at the manufacturing plant. Following selection are possible:

– one tube with 80* mm from the panel edge– two tubes (80 and 180* mm from the edge of the panel)

Both tubes are selectable in the left or right position. Tubes can be placed in the middle of the panel width.

As standard, the tube is accessible only from the upper side of the panel. In the zig-zag assembly system for the upper layer of panels, the tube can be straight-through (also with access from the bottom).

• Cut the holes for electrical switch boxes, sockets and switches at the construction site.

R-type double-sided panelsClean Room Wall Panels Technical description

Description of R-panelsR-type wall panels consist of two plates made of varnished sheet steel. An inner alu-minium frame and thermal insulation filling of various types are inserted between the plates. Panels can be equipped with wiring openings and brackets for attaching items on to the panel. The standard finish of the plates is RAL 9002 (grey-white). The surface of the panels is protected against damage during production, transport, storage, and installation by protective PE film.

Panel featuresThe R-panels act as separating structures between individual rooms or areas. Their design meets the following requirements:– Minimum release of particles from the surface of the panel.– Connection to the floor and ceiling and the design of inner perpendicular corners in

such a manner that rounded corners are formed at the joints.– Joints between individual panels, between panels and the ceiling, and between pan-

els and the floor are made using a permanently elastic binder with guaranteed prop-erties.

– Tightness to ensure that overpressure or under- pressure is maintained in the room.– Easy to clean and sanitize, resistant to disinfectants.– No health risk.

Assembly sequenceClean rooms that are assembled using R-type panels are erected from the bottom upwards.

– First the bottom guiding profiles are installed.– Then the partitions are mounted.– Finally the ceiling is assembled and suspended.

R-type double-sided panelsWall panel endings Clean Room Wall Panels

The most common ending of R-type panels is the Z (basic) ending. This ending is used as standard for upper, lower and lateral facing of panels, including facing of panels to which windows are attached.

D (door) endings are used for panel sides on to which a door frame is attached and for the vertical sides of panels installed above doors. The door section of the inner panel frame has M6 riveting nuts fitted to secure the door frame. Terminal endings K,B,F and G are used on the lateral sides of the panels (left and right) with both front and lateral side, e.g. in outside corners of rooms etc.

Other panel endings I, J, R, P, X, Y and S are variations on Z, K, and D ends that are intended for the perpendicular attachment of doors to the end of the panel. K,B,F,P,R and S ending may only be used on one face of the panel. The maximum width of panels with K,B,F,P,R or S ends is 1,150 mm. Ending G is designed for pass-through boxes and is only used in combination with GG (e.g. GGZD, GGDZ, GGZZ); the maximum width of a GG panel is 1,100 mm.

Examples of panel endings: for underneath windows (ZZZZ), underneath doors (pass-through doors as well) (DDZD), above doors (DDDZ).• For the complete overview of panel endings refer to page 31.

R-type double-sided panelsClean Room Wall Panels Upper panel guide

Upper panel guideAnchor partitions in small rooms (approx. 3 x 3 m) is not neces-sary.• FläktGroup recommends to anchor longer partitions into ceil-

ings, walls or auxiliary structures using brackets, suspension mount R (order No. AA00492), RH (order No. AA00493) or RS (order No. AA00494).

The kits include all necessary installation fittings (bolts, nuts, washers, brackets, wall plugs). The total number of ZL 20 strips is determined by the designer, depending on the assumed length and amount of suspensions mounts.

Fig. 5: L bracket

Panel jointsWhen partitions are assembled using R-type panels:• Connect protruding parts of the panel’s inner frame sections.• Ensure the width between joints of two adjacent panels is be-

tween 0 and 2 mm.• Use the sealant to insulate the joints.• If necessary, secure adjacent panels against crosswise

movement by inserting a spring into the groove in the section of the panel frame.

• Use the spring when partitions higher than 3,000 mm are erected.

This requirement especially applies for panels mounted under-neath windows and above doors. • For mechanical joint between adjacent panels secure brack-

ets via T-head bolts into the groove in the upper ending of the Z panel.

Installation fittings are supplied with the brackets. The brackets also provide for conductive connection between panels. The type and number of brackets are determined by the designer so that they would not obstruct the passage of wiring through pan-els.Examples of use of the brackets are shown in figures 4 and 5 and in the table of installation fittings.

DismantlingIf necessary, each panel which is not connected to adjacent panels by springs can be dismantled.• Ensure that access/space above the false ceiling is provid-

ed.• Loosen the brackets.• Lift the panel up from the bottom guide.• Slide the panel out of the partition.

Fig. 7: Spring joints between panels

Installing windowsCRWR type windows, based on the CRW-type window design for clean rooms, are used with R-type panel partitions. CRWR windows are supplied with plates for CRWR. During the installation of the windows:

• Screw plates for CRWR on to all panel facing for windows.• Place a panel underneath the window next to the panel beside.• Insert the spring and mount a CRWR window.• Pull up the second panel to be fitted beside the window.• Finally, mount the panel above the window and secur to the panels at the sides of

the window using brackets.

If a later assembly for a window is necessary, it is also possible to subsequently modify the construction. For this purpose:• Do not fix plates for CRWR to the vertical ends of the panels at the side of the

windows.• Assemble the wall without windows.

Before installing a window:• Loosen the brackets between the panel above the window and that beneath the

window.• Slightly move the panel above the window upwards.• Insert the window and the lower the panel above the window.• Secure the brackets to the panels beside the windows and tighten again.

Securing door frames• To install the door frame flush with the partition, use the D

ending of the panel.• To secure the door frame - fix M6 riveting nuts to the door

section of the inner frame of the pane.• Use M6 screws with inner hexagon socket and taper wash-

ers to secure the door frame to the panel through the smaller chamber of the doorframe section.

There are openings in the doorframe for a socket spanner. These openings are concealed with caps once the screws have been tightened.

Fig. 9: Installing door frames to panels with D ending

Fig. 10: Installing door frames to panels with I and J endings

For doors that are connected to the panel perpendicularly there are 6 ending types available. These ends have riveting nuts fit-ted on the front or back faces of the panel to secure the door frame.• Secure the door frame to panels with I and J endings as

shown in Fig. 11.• If required, attach the door frame to panels with P, R, X, or Y

ending through the small or large chamber to the end of the panel according to Fig. 11.

Doors are supplied as described in the "Clean rooms - Doors" catalogue. The door delivery includes installation parts.

Trays and openings for electrical cablesR - type panels may contain a maximum of 8 vertical cable trays. Trays are performed as 100x60 mm plastic sections across the entire height of the panel. An opening of 33 mm in diameter in the upper frame of the panel with Z ending provides access to each tray.

• Specify the required combination of the trays/openings from the left or right-hand side of the panel by using a double-digit combination from 0 to 9 in the order code.

Trays 1 to 4 are shifted by 30 mm towards the center of the panel for P, R, X, and Y panel endings. The axes of the access openings remain at the distances of 80,180, 280, and 380 mm from the edge. A "55" combination is reserved for a DDDZ panel for mounting above the door with a single tray in the middle of the panel width and with a 33 mm opening in the bottom frame of the panel with a D ending as well.

R-type double-sided panelsClean Room Wall Panels Reinforcement braces in panels

Reinforcement braces in panels• For fitting objects on to the panel and to transmit forces to the inner frame of the

panel, FläktGroups recommends to use areas at the edge of the panels (approximately 15 mm from the edge of the panel).

• If the span between the fixation points is known, ensure that the panel in the given place is some 30 mm wider than the span.

• In cases where a stiffener is needed, insert a 30 mm wide horizontal or vertical section into the panel.

It is possible to cut openings into panels, for example for cables, air ducts, etc., in such a manner that the inner frame of the panel is not disturbed. The opening thus cut should be reinforced with a U 60x10 section.

Atypical panelsPanels that cannot be fully described using the code are known as atypical. They are specified by the last position of the product code and include the following versions:

I-type double-sided hollow panelsClean Room Wall Panels Technical description

Overview of installation and exhaust panelsFor certain crosspiece types either Installation and Exhaust panels can be used.

For panels higher than 3 meters:• Indicate the height of the ceiling (max. 3 m) and type of bottom guiding profile (for

technological reasons facing can be consist of two pieces – joint is placed in the height of the ceiling).

Installation panelsFor media distribution pipes or large bundles of cables FläktGroup recommends to mount an installation panel in the partition (not suitable for F and G types).

It is a hollow panel consisting of two sheet-metal facings and provides space for run-ning water and waste piping, medicinal gas pipes, electrical lines.

Standard width of installation panels is 300, 400 and 500 mm (max. 700 mm).

The height of the panel is determined by the designer. Maximum height is limited to 4000 mm. The installation panel delivery includes installation parts.

R-type — 62 mm wide, with a non-demountable lid (attached by a self-adhesive tape) and load-bearing L-sections.

U-type — 62 mm wide, symmetrical, lids attached by putty and a self-adhesive tape, with internal reinforcement braces - pass-through width 40 mm, brace spacing approx. 600 mm (L-sections and braces are attached to laterally located Z-ending R-type pan-els using T-head bolts.• Do not mount installation panels in partitions higher than 4 meters (assembled in the

so-called “zig-zag” way)!

Inwall ClickTechnical description Clean Room Wall Panels

Inwall single-sided facing panelsThese panels are made for covering existing walls in clean room and are mounted as drywall work.

Inwall Click These covering panels consist of a maximum number of prefabricated components, available in smart design with various color shades and combinations. Joints are sealed with permanently elastic sealant. Easy fixation and suitability for all applications make them universal.

Panels are designed for quick and easy mounting by a click fixation into frames.

Inwall OT These covering panels for operating rooms have a T-profile rubber sealant fitted in the joints for easy dismounting. Panels can be used as a partition thanks to a separate fix-ation to floor and suspension to ceiling. Building a double wall with different fillings, insulation and cables is possible.

The Inwall OT system can be used as a pre-wall (panelling) or a partition with an optional thickness of minimum 120 mm.

Inwall OT+ These covering panels have a similar construction as Inwall OT, but the joints are sealed with permanent elastic silicone - fully hermetic and used in higher classes of clean rooms.

Description of Inwall Click panels

Fig. 1: Overview and cross section of Inwall Click panels, thickness in mm

Main advantages Inwall Click comprises a type of facing for clean rooms with the focus on minimizing the number of joints, removing the capping plugs and maintaining the rigidity and acoustic qualities of the facing.

The panels are fixed to structural walls or construction by means of click profiles.

Components The Inwall Click system consists of:

– Panels,– Click and stiffening profiles,– Flanging and finishing ledges,– Bottom guides and cover profiles.

Application range Panels can be used for facing of existing walls.

In combination with other systems (e.g. gypsum partition walls) Inwall Click facing meet increased fire resistance or sound insulation requirements.

Mounting possiblities

On level surface If the ground wall is even enough and has sufficient carrying capacity:

• Anchor click and stiffening profiles directly to the wall.

Example: plaster wall partition of gypsum wood-fibre.– Joining material for gypsum is supplied as standard — screws 4.x35 PHX, order No.

3092414).– Total thickness of the facing is approx. 40 mm.

On uneven surface

If the ground wall is not even enough:• Level any unevenness.• Build a supporting frame or grid using e.g. gypsum profiles (not included in this

manual) or of horizontal profiles ZL20.

Total thickness of the facing, including the supporting frame made of ZL20 profiles, is approx. 60 mm.

Mounting supporting frame made of ZL20 profiles• Mount the first row of profiles about 10 cm above the floor• Mount the next row at a maximum interval of approx. 90 cm. • Mount the last grid row at least 30 cm below the upper edge of the panel.• Refer to project drawings for details, e.g. the spacing for specific panel height and

atypical layout.• Use screws M8x60 (80,100,120) and plugs to set level and fix the ZL20 ledge (order

No. 780710, L=4.95 m).

1 anchor set includes:– 1 screw M8 x L– 1 plug WS,– 2 nuts M8,– 2 washers.

• Consider standard quantity of 1 set for 1 m length of ZL20 profile.• Consider specific profile lengths.• Consult the designer for exact quantity and type of joining material.

For certain types of panels, another type of inserts and ledges are required. These are used for attaching the vertical (click and stiffening) profiles or panels and ledges. The inserts are free-sliding in the ledge.• Place ZL20 inserts in the ZL20 ledge (order No. 780711)• To mount the profiles, use screws Quadrex 4.2 x13 (order No. 3092076).

Assembly of supporting grid with horizontal profilesIf insufficient evenness of partition wall or carrying wall does not allow direct assembly of facing:• Build a supporting frame and ensure even base surface.• To build a supporting frame grid, use profiles ZL20 of length 4.95 m.• First mount a row of profiles about 10 cm above the floor.• Mount the next row at a maximum interval spacing of approx. 90 cm.• Mount the last grid row at least 30 cm below the upper edge of the panel.• Use nuts and washers to attach the ZL20 profile to combined screws (supplied in the

following lengths: M8x60, 80, 100 a 120 mm).

This arrangement allows adjustment of the spacing of the profile and the wall in respec-tive point and balances the grid. • Fix the screws in the wall with a WS plug.• Consider: this plug is not suitable for all types of surfaces.

Fig. 22: Assembly of supporting grid (horizontal profiles)

Mounting ZL profiles

• Insert ZL inserts in the ZL profile to ensure fixation of the ver-tical profiles or potential panels.

These inserts are free-sliding in the ZL20 ledge, but in some points it might not be possible to add an insert afterwards.• Therefore consider this factor when the ledges are fixed to

the base!• Use nuts and level the supporting grid to create a plane sur-

face. This surface must be vertical or slightly inclined out-wards, but must not overhang.

If floor covering in the room is not laid before the assembly of the facing:

• Prepare bottom guiding profiles• Cut to the required lengths on outer corners under the angle of 45°• Do not mount profiles to the floor. Bottom profile G65 begins 5 mm from the future

clear door opening.

In door openings, PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY of the click profile, the profile terminal must be inserted in the bottom guide profile G65 or J65 (if used).

Assembly of click and stiffening profiles with vertical profilesIf the wall is even enough and has sufficient carrying capacity, e.g. gypsum wall parti-tion made of gypsum wood-fibre boards:• Mount click and stiffening profiles directly on the wall using the 4,2 x 35 PHX spiral

dives.

If a supporting grid is used:• Mount the profiles into ZL inserts.• Insert the profiles in the ground grid profiles and fix using quadrex 4.2x13 bolts.• Do not fully tighten the bolts, so that the click profile remains sliding in horizontal

direction.• Pay attention to the orientation of the click profile.• The bent sides for profile fixation point to the inside of the room.• Insert the bottom ends of the click profiles in the bottom guiding profile.• Refer to project drawings for the layout and spacing of profiles.

Assembly of door and window openings with crossbars

Special attention is required for door and window openings.• Build crossbars at these points using click profile.

In a door opening a crossbar is used to fix the upper flanging profile.

In a window opening a crossbar is used as a mounting surface for WZ window or to fix flanging metal plates.• Use two quadrex bolts to fix special fasteners (U 28x30 for crossbar) on both next-

door vertical profiles.• Consider that the slot of the horizontal click profile (crossbar) is in the height of H+30

mm (H is building height of the door, including door frame).• Consider the length of the crossbar B+30 mm (B is building width of the door,

including door frame).• Mount vertical and horizontal click profiles around door and window openings.• Consider that the slot of the click profile is 30 mm from the future size of the opening.

• Terminate the click profile around the T-design door / transfer box.• Consider that the slots of the click profiles match with the future clear opening or the

spacing of the profile slots • Consider that the distance between interruptions in profiles is the same as the width

of the transfer box TB, refer to Fig. 24.

• Mount vertical stiffening C-profiles, if the panels are wider than 600 mm, • Stick 2 strips of double-sided adhesive tape approx. 20 cm long on these profiles at

the height of 1.3 m from the floor.Mounting panels

Preparations • Proceed from the door and window openings and from outer corners.

Finishing cuts are preferentially located in corners.• You can partially open click profile at the top and bottom by inserting a suitable tool

(screwdriver) approx. 2-3 mm thick.• This will make slipping the panel edge into the slot easier.• Once the panel is inserted, take the plate out of the profile.

Mounting procedure • Remove the foil from the sides and bottom of the panel.• If the panel is wider than 600 mm, make sure a supporting C-profile is fitted with

glued-on double-sided adhesive tapes• Remove the cover foil of the adhesive tape.• Latch the panel into the profile.• Do not push to the center of the panel as there is a risk of deformation.• Pay attention to the orientation of the panel with connectors facing upwards.• Tighten the bolts and fasten the click profile to the base.• Draw the panel down to the bottom guide.• Keep fastening the bottom guiding profile to the floor.• Use the HPS driving plugs.

Corner panelsIf bottom guiding profile is used:

• Cut down in the corner under the angle of 45°.• Latch both click profiles onto the corner panel so that they overlapp about 7 cm at

the bottom.• Pay attention to panel orientation - connectors facing up and areas of profiles for

fastening pointing outwards.• Insert the entire assembly into the bottom profile and fasten to the inserts.• Draw the panel down to the bottom guiding profile.• Level in both planes and tighten the bolts.• Continue with the assembly of neighbouring flat panels.

Inwall OT and Inwall OT+Load-bearing structure Clean Room Wall Panels

Securing top profilesClosed zinc-coated steel profiles with a square cross-section of 40 x 40 mm, a wall thickness of 2 mm and a maximum length of 4 m provide vertical supports.• Shorten profiles to the required height during installation. The maximum distance between each load-bearing profile and the next (design module) is B = 1,200 mm. • Insert vertical profiles in a bottom guiding profile.• Secure profiles with a screw.• At the top secure profiles to the structural ceiling using ceil-

ing brackets.• If necessary, use additional horizontal braces of a standard

height of 50 mm.

Securing bottom guiding profilesBottom guiding profiles are made of 2 mm thick zinc-coated sheet steel; the standard profile is 100 mm high and 2.5 mm thick.• Use hammer-in wall plugs to secure profiles to the floor.• Do not mount guiding profiles on floating concrete floors with

insufficient bearing capacity!

Instructions for mounting accessoriesThe shell of the panel is made of sheet steel with bends on all four sides, with an 18-mm glued thick plasterboard plate. Panels include mounting fixtures on vertical sides. The panel surface is protected with plastic foil.• Remove the foil after panel installation.• Install such components as power sockets and switches,

monitors and negatoscopes, inspection panels, HVAC ele-ments (e.g. exhaust-air grilles and air ducts), clocks and cab-inets into the panel.

• Use the sealing tape to seal joints between the bottom guid-ing profile and the panel and the bearing surface between panels and bearing profiles.

• Screw the RF profile to the top panel layer and connect the panels to the suspended ceiling.

• Fix each panel using 1 screw with fan disc washer.• Fit each bearing profile with a connector.• Interconnect the connectors using the green and yellow con-

ductor.• Lead the connectors to the earthing point.

Fig. 4: Vertical cross section of OT (left) and OT+ (right)Procedure for H-profile• Alternatively, use a varnished H aluminium profile.• In this case dismantle the top panel layer.

Facing panels with wall bracketsOne line of panels forms a pre-wall (paneling). Vertical profiles are fitted to the wall using wall brackets. The length of brackets is adjusted during installation.

Fig. 5: Vertical profile secured with wall brackets

Partition and sound insulationBy using two rows of panels at a defined distance (typically T = 150, 200 and 300 mm) a hollow partition is formed, inside which it is possible to lay installation cabling or place additional thermal and noise insulation. The distance between bottom profiles is deter-mined by bottom spacers. Vertical profiles are joined with a partition coupling.

Fig. 6: Top partition coupling and insulation between profiles and panelsInscreased sound insulation If there is a requirement for higher noise damping between rooms, the hollow space of

the partition can be filled with acoustic and thermal insulation material such as mineral wool (a thickness of 160 mm for a partition 200 mm wide).• Continue a 12.5 mm thick plasterboard partition without panel facing above the

suspended ceiling until full contact with the concrete ceiling. For details refer to the top left corner in Fig. 4.

Inwall OT and Inwall OT+Cutting to size Clean Room Wall Panels

Outside and inside cornersThe following designs are available:

C and U panels have a standard design width of 100 mm (the spacing between sup-ports). The width of R and Z panels depends on the partition width T (B = T + 59). Dimensions compatible with the partition range (B = 209, 259, 359…) are primarily selected for facing.

Cutting to sizeWith a properly designed and dimensioned system, especially when outside and inside corners are used, there is no need for cutting panels. However, if such a situation occurs:• Follow the following options of bordering shortened panels.

a) Into a steel sheet U-shaped bar (standard)b) Into an extruded aluminium profile

Inwall OT and Inwall OT+Clean Room Wall Panels Windows, doors and door frames

WindowsThe system includes glass panels (non-opening windows). Glass panels are made of sheet glass. If requested, safety glass may be supplied. The windows may be fitted with manually or electrically-driven blinds.

DoorsDescription All doors are a bonded sandwich panel. The door surface is made of the same material

as the surface of wall paneling, if not specified otherwise in your order.

Hinged, sliding doors and pass-through doors are supplied with compound stainless steel door frames (brushed stainless sheet metal AISI304 0.8 mm thick). Alternatively, the door frames can be made of the same material as the wall paneling.

The doors can be supplied including mechanical or automatic drives.

The standard clearance height of the door is 2100 mm. Standard door widths are 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000 and 1080 mm for hinged single doors and 1400, 1500 and 1900 mm for hinged double doors.

Hinged doors Hinged doors are filled either with mineral wool or polystyrene. Hinged doors are 60 mm thick. Hinged doors are equipped with stainless steel fixtures with Dr. Hahn TB4 hinges.

Sliding doors Sliding doors are filled with polystyrene and are 32 mm thick. Ball bearings are manu-afactured by Geze Perlan for the mechanical version or by Geze Slimdrive or ECdrive for automatic versions.

Door frames The door frames (surface panels) are made in two versions:a) Partition – for joining rooms made up from the Inwall OT system b) Panellng for joining a room of the Inwall OT system with another space (such as a

corridor) – the frame is joined to masonry or plasterboard partition

X-ray shielding

DesigningX-ray shielding can be made using– OSBX boards (oriented strand board of thickness 8 mm with bonded lead sheet)– Knauf Red Pb (gypsum boards with bonded lead sheet)

625 x 2000 (T= 1,0 / 2,0 / 3,0 mm)– Knauf Safeboard (lead free drywall partition)

Lead sheet thickness T and height of shielding layer is determined by the customer, based on the calculation and regulations.

OSBX boards are available in 4 variants according to the type of overlay:

Maximum sizes of boards (B x A):

Standard OSBX boards

Tab. 1: Standard OSBX boards

Ordering code example: OSBX_RT1975x0975T2,0 Board types, sizes and positions must be designed in such way, that every joint has overlay. If it is not possible to fulfil this re-quirement, additional lead strips must be used (e,g. Pb50x1000T2,0).Every passage through lead barrier must have detailed solution in project documentation. Plan of OSBX boards for each wall is mandatory part of the project.

Installation

Boards are installed before the installation of the cladding U/V panels and are fixed from the back of the board primarily to the vertical support profiles. It is recommended to avoid cutting OSBX boards on site.

Each joint must have a lead sheet overlap of at least 15 mm. Maximum spacing of screws on overlaps is 20 cm. The connection must be made in such a way that it can be checked after removing the U panel.

Electrical distribution, etc. must be designed in such a way that the protective barrier is not broken. Each passage through the lead barrier must be installed in accordance with the project.

For installation of doors see separate drawings (5AA57134, 5AA57201). For installa-tion of CRWX windows see separate drawing.

NOTICE!OSBX boards have to be installed according to the plan in the project.
