Maathai's
Timeline
Expository Paragraph !
Wangari Maathai is a amazing women she planted over 200
trees towards her Nobel peace prize. Then the whole
community followed her. Wangari had a great impact of
taking care of her environment. Like when people kept on
cutting down trees. Just because of that she planted over
200! Trees for the environment. She noticed that more trees
than usually were being cut down . By 1999 over 20 million
trees were being planted throughout Kenya. After she
earned the Nobel peace prize she started the environment
and the government back up. Those are some informal facts
about Wangari's Nobel peace prize but there are a lot more
out there. Why didn't anybody else step forward before
Wangari did? !

PoemWangari Maathai
The first picture I chose was for all the trees
she planted throughout Kenya or at least
they represent them. The second picture
next to it is representing the wildlife that she
is in charge of. The third one is of a natural
resource that she also is in charge of now.
The fourth picture represents just her self.
The fifth picture is of the green belt
movement that is what it was called. Th next
picture represents her Nobel Peace Prize
that she earned. The picture after that is
Nyeri Kenya where her hometown was. The
last picture is just another picture of her self.!
