It is Italian Renaissance style and was completed in 1873. The seldom seen tour includes a visit to the servants’ quarters, Tommy Struthers’ nursery, and the archives where you will see special artifacts not usually visible to the public. This class will meet at the Warren County Historical Society.

The course will cover necessary skills to bea phlebotomist; blood collection, specimen processing and storage, professionalism in a clinical setting, public speaking and communication skills, clerical and courier as well as reception and other duties. Lectures based on current, relevant phlebotomy procedures will be combined with hands-on laboratory practices, and a clinical rotation at a local hospital at the end of the course. Students must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and an updated immunization record to participate in classes and clinical rotations. Lab coat and professional attire required. SPRING 2011 COURSE
Wilkes University is bringing its Master of Science in Educational Development and Strategies (EDS)and Classroom Technology programs to Warren.The EDS program is a 30-credit master’s degree that combines 18 credits of Wilkes core courses with 12 credits of courses taken through Performance Learning Systems (PLS). The ClassroomTechnology program is also 30 credits, requiring the
same 18 credits of Wilkes core courseswith 12 credits of online technology courses through Wilkes.
Tuition is $387 per credit plus a $70 facilities use fee per course. Tuition is due within 30 days after each course ends. No down payment or reimbursement form is required.

[Kennedy Publications]. In the spring of 2011, one of her paintings will be featured in SPLASH 12, a prestigious annual book, which collects 100 top water media paintings from across the country. She was awarded an artist-residency in Brittany in 2007, and wrote an article on watercolor painting that was published in American Artist Magazine in 2006.
Ms. Hillis is a signature member of the Southern Watercolor Society, the Potomac Valley Watercolor Society, theBaltimore Watercolor Society and the Virginia Watercolor Society and a memberof the National Watercolor Society.
Among other places such as New Mexico and North Carolina, she will be teaching a workshop in Tuscany in Spring, 2011.
A public opening reception will be held at Crary Art Gallery on Friday, March 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Catherine Hillis has painted all her life, winning
awards and honors at competitive shows regionally and nationally. She has won numerous awards for her paintings in regional and national competitive exhibitions. Her painting The Pedicure, above right, willbe on display March 5 through April 3along with her “Urban Country” Watercolors Exhibition at the Crary Art Galley. The Crary Art Gallery is pleased tobe able to have an entire gallery filled withher work! The Crary exhibition will focus oncity scenes along with paintings depictingthe rural area where the artist lives.
Ms. Hillis’ paintings have been shown in galleries in Ohio, Virginia and Maryland and took second place in “Best of Virginia Artists and Artisans, 2005”
