WMUMC’s Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Here are daily prayers you might use this week:

Household Prayer: Morning God of endless life,

in the light of this new day

we see the dawning of your new creation.

Give us wonder and delight

to enjoy this day that you have made;

through Jesus Christ, our living Lord.

Amen.

Household Prayer: Evening Stay with us, Lord, for it is evening

and the day is almost over.

Help us to know that you are with us—

through the promise of your Word, in the sharing

of a meal, and by the power of your Spirit

that burns within our hearts.

Bless and keep us, this night and always.

Join Us For Our Next Sermon Series:

Are you finding the clutter of life is overwhelming, with so much stuff drowning out what is good, important or even holy? It may be time to clear out; giving up some things so God can do the holy stuff we all

need. Join us next week for our new message series: Making Room - Creating Space for Holy Stuff.

What a great topic as we celebrate the new life given to us because of Easter. The series starts next Sunday and runs to June 1st.

The heat is on the way, and we’ll have to come up with some creative,

fun ways to deal with it. Our June series will be: Sprinkler Run! Giving into Joy during the Summer Heat.

We will start Pentecost Sunday (6/8) and continue though the month of June. Emphasis on JOY.

Maybe we’ll have a photo contest of families running

through their sprinklers. In July, we’ll take a little time to do a bit of summer reading by picking

up the New York Times bestseller by Lysa TerKeurst called Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of

Raw Emotions. We’ll explore how men and women can work with emotions and

resolve conflicts in Godly ways that lead to a much more peaceful life.

It’s going to be a great spring and summer. Join us!

Christian Canine Connection - New Class Series Starts TODAY

What is Christian Canine Connection? It is a six week basic dog obedience training class. Classes will begin Today - Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 5pm in the Celebration Center. Sessions will be about an hour long. Registration is open to dogs who are at least 12 weeks old at the beginning of class and must have all age appropriate vaccinations prior to the first class. The handler must be old enough and mature enough to control the dog and follow directions. There is a cost associated with the class. Please call Kevin Moorehead at 874-6938 for more details.

Spring Cleaning? Last Call for Shoe Drive’s 1st Round!

THRIVE Peninsula, www.thrivepeninsula.org (previously Denbigh United Christian Outreach - DUCO) plans to continue accepting year-round donations of new or gently worn shoes (ALL kinds) to send to impoverished countries who cannot afford appropriate footwear. However, in order for our collective efforts to maximize the funds we earn in return to help those most at risk in our local community, we must collect 5000 pairs by May 3rd! We need JUST 750 more pairs to reach this goal. Individual donations are gladly welcomed, but it would only take 30 people to each collect a bagful of 25 pairs. If needed, we have bags, canvassing materials and ideas! Please rally to help this global, local and environmentally-conscious mission effort! Questions: call, 877-6211, ext. 5. Thanks!

Child Care Available: Each Sunday, we are pleased to offer childcare from birth to age 4 beginning at 8:15am. Please register your child on the sign-in sheets at the door of each nursery. For those attending the third service, please pick up your

child/children as soon as possible after the end of the service. Thanks for entrusting us with your children and for your cooperation.

Engraved Bricks The Building Fund Finance

Committee is again offering the

congregation the opportunity to

donate personalized engraved

bricks which will be installed in the walkway that

leads to the Celebration Center. If you would like

a brick engraved in honor of someone living or in

memory of someone deceased and have not yet

placed an order, please do so by May 18. We plan

to have them installed by Father’s Day. The cost is

$175. Forms are in the Narthex and on the

Welcome table in the Celebration Center gathering

area. If you have any questions please call Kathy

Young, 877-1518.

Thank you for worshiping with us today at

Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church!

If you are a visitor, please see an usher or pastor for a visitor packet. You are welcome to use Bible reading or similar apps on your device,

but please set your phone on silent or vibrate. Childcare is available for ages birth through four years old.

Please ask an usher for directions to the nurseries. If you are looking for a church family & home, please consider giving us a try.

If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to a pastor or an usher. If you are interested in Church membership or baptism, please contact a pastor or

TRAINING??

Honduras Video

A video documenting the Mountain Medical Teams

(MMT’s) Warwick Memorial United Methodist

Church (WMUMC) has sent to Honduras through the

Friends of Barnabas (FOB) Foundation is available for

a $10 donation. It includes interviews with members

of the teams from 2002 through 2013 in which they

relate their personal experiences and the resulting

spiritual impact on them and WMUMC. The video

shows and explains the work of the MMT’s and how it

supports the broader work of the FOB. The money

collected will be used for the medical supplies of the

2014 MMT. Checks should be made out to WMUMC

with Honduras in the memo line.
