transactions however for the most part showed fractional declines from Saturdays final prices sentiment seemed to be somewhat per- turbed by the unexplained weakness which the market showed Saturday after the publication of the very favorable hank statement and there was nothing- In this mornlngs Intelligence which would account for the tendency thdn ap- parent London again sent in lower prkes for American stocks but did not follow them up by any important opera- tions In this market About the only intelligence of import- ance in this mornings newspapers was thr report of the expert accountants on Metropolitan Street Railway affairs controverting the various points raised against the management of the company in the libel proceedings and the others now pending Metropolitan Street Rail- way was not conspicuous In the early dealings however while Manhattan Railway and Brooklyn Rapid Transit were firm knowing reports were cur rent that the decision in the franchise taxing case
