We have a massive selection of free-standing polymer litter bins in a vast array of colours, and with capacities ranging from 60 litres up to 360 litres you will be sure to find the correct one for your purpose.
All our polymer litter bins will not chip or rust, are easy to clean and never need painting, giving you an attractive and highly functional waste container for many years.

Throughout this brochure reference is made to the following materials:
Armortec® corrosion resistant coating is specially formulated to extend the life of Glasdon metal products and components used externally.
Duracore™ material features a tough outer wall of Durapol® material with an internal reinforcing wall of cellular construction, which increases rigidity and offers outstanding performance benefits. Duracore™ material will not chip or rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.
Duraplene™ material comprises a range of polymers which have been formulated for internal applications offering reliability and low maintenance.
Duraplus™ material is a polymer specially engineered to provide enhanced resilience, which gives improved recovery from impact.
Durapol® material is a polymer formulated to withstand extremes of temperature and is impact-tested in our Quality Assurance Laboratory as part of our BS EN ISO 9001:2008 test procedure. Durapol® material will not chip or rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.
Ecoboard™ material is manufactured using a combination of virgin polymer and post consumer plastic waste to create a very robust and strong panel. Ecoboard™ material will not chip or rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.
Enviropol® material is manufactured predominantly from post-consumer plastics. By balancing these uncontaminated recycled waste materials, the result is a remarkably versatile product with many applications and benefits. Enviropol® material will not chip or rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.
Everwood™ material is a realistic timber grain polymer, which requires minimal maintenance. Everwood™ material is vandal and weather resistant, will not rot, warp or crack.
Vandalex® material is an aluminium alloy engineered to produce a high modulus of elasticity, which offers increased impact absorption properties. Its anodised finish will not rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.

FIRE SAFETY DEVICE
® FIREXPIRE device complies with the testing and
certification regulations
of the TÜV Product
Service.
An optional extra on Glasdon hooded litter bins, FIREXPIRE device is a fire extinguishing plate fitted within the bin top. Should a fire break out inside the bin, a special replaceable, heat responsive device releases the plate which then seals off the mouth of the liner and snuffs out the fire through oxygen starvation. Replacement of the heat responsive device using only a screwdriver resets FIREXPIRE device on site.(Firexpire is an effective low cost auxiliary device and must never replace primary fire prevention measures. Obstructions preventing the plate from dropping may adversely affect the function of the unit and as many Firexpire devices are used in unsupervised locations, regular inspection and immediate replacement of any damaged or distorted components is essential.)

*For the Nexus 360, Grampian, Modus and Visage, we recommend that a risk assessment is undertaken to identify an appropriate location for your waste collection units. In order to reduce risk, some organisations decide to place the units a minimum of 5 metres away from buildings. Any potential risk can be further reduced by maintaining a regime of regularly emptying the unit.You may also wish to consider installing a Glasdon FireSafe on the Nexus 360 and Modus.

GLASDON FIRESAFE™ DEVICEIs an automatic fire suppression device fitted within the hood of the bin. Should a fire break out inside the bin the device is activated. Glasdon FireSafe is an effective low cost auxiliary device and must never replace primary fire prevention measures. A regular inspection/maintenance programme should be introduced to ensure the device is in working condition or has discharged and therefore needs replacing.The majority of litter bins featured in this catalogue specify two
capacities. The ‘Bin Volume’ is the total capacity the bin liner will hold with the contents measured heaped. The ‘Liner Capacity’ is the capacity the bin liner will hold with the contents measured flat.

Glasdon Ground-Lock system is a versatile fixing system for securing hooded, open-topped and post-mounted litter bins in ‘soft’ or unsurfaced ground. Quick and easy to install, without excavating or concreting, the system has a unique ‘remove and resite’ locking feature, so bins can be relocated. Ground-Lock system is also vandal-resistant, the secure siting keeps waste in its place. (Ground-Lock system fixing tool required. One tool supplied free with every 3 Ground-Lock systems ordered.) Please see on Page 66 which bins require a reinforcing plinth with the Ground-Lock option.
