fabrics• Sewing Machine• Quilt Batting, 58” (147.32cm) square • Lightweight Fusible Interfacing, 7” (17.78cm) square• Rotary cutter, ruler, and mat• Basic sewing and pressing supplies

CuttingWOF = Width of Fabric.

Print and join Templates 1, 2 and 3. Place the templates right side up on the right side of the fabric to cut Tem-plate 1, 2 and 3 pieces. To cut the Reverse Template 1 and 2 pieces, place the template printed side down on the right side of the fabric.

Fabrics A, F and K cut:(1) Template 1

Fabrics B, G, L and Q cut:(1) Template 2

Fabrics C, M and R cut:(1) Template 3

Fabrics D, I, N and S cut:(1) Reverse Template 2

Fabrics E, J, O and T cut:(1) Reverse Template 1

Sewing InstructionsNote: Use a 1⁄4” (.64cm) seam allowance throughout. Sew all pieces with right sides together and raw edges even using matching thread.

Blocks1. Lay out Fabric A through E pieces as shown. Sew

together and press seams open. Tip: Trim the seam allowances at the points to 1⁄8” (.32cm) after pressing to remove bulk. Trim block to 251⁄2” (64.77cm) square. (Fig. 1)

2. Repeat Step 1 with Fabric F through J, K through O and P through T pieces to make a total of (4) 251⁄2” (64.77cm) square blocks.

Center Circle3. Trace the Circle Template onto the smooth side of

the 7” (17.78cm) fusible interfacing square.4. Place the fusible interfacing 7” (17.78cm) square,

glue side down, on top of the right side of the Fabric P 7” (17.78cm) square and pin in place. DO NOT PRESS. Sew along the traced circle. Trim the outside to 1⁄4” (.64cm) and notch the seam allowance. (Fig. 2)

5. Pull the interfacing away from the fabric and cut a slit in the center of the interfacing. Turn the circle right side out and use a point turner to smooth the curves. Finger-press only around the outside edge - do not use an iron. (Fig. 3)

Quilt AssemblyNote: Follow the Quilt Layout on page 5 while assem-bling the quilt.

6. Sew the (4) blocks together into a four-patch, matching the points in the center. Press seams open.

7. Center the Fabric P circle, glue side down, on the four-patch and fuse into place. Machine or hand appliqué around the edge of the circle to complete the quilt top (501⁄2” (128.27cm) square).

Finishing8. Layer backing, batting and Quilt Top. Baste and quilt

as desired. Trim excess batting and backing even with the quilt top.

9. Sew the (6) 21⁄2” x WOF (6.35cm x WOF) Fabric H Binding strips into one continuous binding strip. Press seams open. Press the strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together.

10. Leaving an 8” (20.32cm) tail of binding, sew the binding to the top of the quilt through all layers with raw edges matching. Miter corners. Stop approximately 12” (30.48cm) from where you started. Lay both loose ends of binding flat along the quilt edge. Where the loose ends meet, fold them back on themselves and press to form a crease. Using this crease as your stitching line, sew the two open ends of the binding right sides together. Trim seam to 1⁄4” (.64cm) and press open. Finish sewing binding to the quilt.

11. Turn binding to back of quilt and blind stitch in place.
