Water dashboard components Following is a simple explanation of each component that you will see in your water dashboard.

Pumping opportunity This component will show you if you are currently allowed to take water.

When a pumping opportunity is not available, the word OFF will be displayed and the component will turn red. When a pumping opportunity is available the word ON will be displayed and the component will turn green.

Surface water

There are four different states that can occur with surface water as follows:

ON / ON This state indicates a pumping opportunity is available.

ON / OFF This state indicates that flows have fallen below the passing flow trigger, however a manual decision has been made to allow for pumping opportunities to continue.

Water Dashboard – User guide 8

Page 13: Water Dashboard User guide€¦ · Water dashboard overview ... You may resume pumping of your entitlement as groundwater levels in the trigger bore are now above the trigger level

OFF / ON This state indicates that flows are above the passing flow trigger, however a manual decision has been made to stop all pumping opportunities.

OFF / OFF This state indicates a pumping opportunity is not available.

You will receive a notification alert to your registered email address or as an SMS to your phone if there are changes to your pumping opportunity

Groundwater

There are four different states that can occur with groundwater as follows:

ON / ON This state indicates a pumping opportunity is available.

ON / OFF This status indicates that water levels have fallen below the reference bore height, however a manual decision has been made to allow for pumping opportunities to continue.

OFF / ON This state indicates that water levels are above the reference bore height, however a manual decision has been made to stop all pumping opportunities.

Water Dashboard – User guide 10

Page 15: Water Dashboard User guide€¦ · Water dashboard overview ... You may resume pumping of your entitlement as groundwater levels in the trigger bore are now above the trigger level

OFF / OFF This state indicates a pumping opportunity is not available.

Pumping opportunity details

This component shows information about the pumping opportunity event in which you can access water.

It includes the following details:

• Announced Volume (ML) for the period

• Pumping Opportunity Start date

• Pumping Opportunity Cease date

The date and time in the middle indicate when the pumping opportunity started and when it will cease.

The date and time to the right is the timestamp of when this data was placed into the dashboard.

This component does not apply to groundwater entitlements.

Page 16: Water Dashboard User guide€¦ · Water dashboard overview ... You may resume pumping of your entitlement as groundwater levels in the trigger bore are now above the trigger level

Year to date consumption

This component represents the total volume of water you have pumped for the water year, based on the last meter reading you submitted.

The red line represents your total annual volumetric limit (AVL) for the water year.

You will receive a notification to your registered email address or as an SMS to your phone if you exceed your Annual Volumetric Limit (AVL) for your entitlement.

Rate of take (ROT) for the event (ML/day)

This component displays the maximum volume of water you are authorised to take in a day with the following details:

• Maximum Rate of Take (ML/day)

• Reduced Rate of Take Limited (%)

• Limited Rate of Take (ML/day)

This component does not apply to groundwater entitlements.

Water Dashboard – User guide 12

Page 17: Water Dashboard User guide€¦ · Water dashboard overview ... You may resume pumping of your entitlement as groundwater levels in the trigger bore are now above the trigger level

Current annual volumetric limit (AVL)

This component is the maximum volume of water you are authorised to take in a water year.

This volume is calculated from factors which include:

• Nominal Annual Volumetric Limit

• Announced Annual Volumetric Limit (%)

• Reductions associated with the volume traded as Seasonal Water Assignment

• Adjustments associated with a multi-year accounting condition (if applicable)

Gauging station flow hydrometric graph

This hydrometric graph shows recent passing flow rate of the watercourse, measured from a relevant upstream gauging station. An alert will display that pumping should stop if flows fall below the passing flow trigger, which when applicable with be shown by a dotted red line.

You will receive a notification alert to your registered email address or as an SMS to your phone if flows fall below the passing flow trigger for your entitlement.

Water Dashboard – User guide 13

Page 18: Water Dashboard User guide€¦ · Water dashboard overview ... You may resume pumping of your entitlement as groundwater levels in the trigger bore are now above the trigger level

Reference bore height hydrometric graph

This hydrometric graph shows recent water levels of a relevant trigger bore. An alert will display that pumping should stop if groundwater levels in the trigger bore are nearing the trigger level which when applicable will be shown by a dotted red line.

Water use history

This graph shows the volume of water you have pumped, averaged per month between meter readings.

The more readings you submit the more accurate this information will be.

If you use a single meter to record water use against multiple entitlements, this water use cannot currently be displayed.
