Why Water DTU?• Water is a large and diverse field of central importance to sustainable
development and climate change nationally and internationally• Water is also a green growth area, provided that young generations
become more interested in technical water educations
• Water is not only water – you cannot deal with water without also looking at other things !
• DTU is born on the polytechnic idea, and at DTU we emphasize societal utility, sustainability and cross-departmental collaboration
• Significant water activities are found in many departments at DTU• We have created Water DTU to better
– Utilize university-wide synergies between competencies– Attract more students interested in water– Nurse our key collaborators in the water area through partnerships– Contribute to solving water challenges in a sustainable manner
