우리나라에서 물산업 분야 최대 규모의 박람회인 '2014 WATER KOREA(국제물산업박람회)'가 3월 18일부터 21일까지 4일간 KINTEX(킨텍스) 제2전시

장에서 21개국 214개 기업이 참가하여 성황리에 개최되었다. 전시회에는 2만6천여명의 참관객과 바이어가 방문하여 국내·외의 높은 관심을 나타냈

으며 컨퍼런스, 세미나 등 다양한 연계행사가 진행 되었다. 특히 국내 기업의 해외진출을 지원하기 위해 올해 처음으로 ‘수출상담회’가 개최되어 참가

기업들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

올해 13회째를 맞이하는 WATER KOREA는 산·학·연·관 모두가 참여하는 한마당으로 공급자와 수요자를 연결하는 비즈니스에 최적화된 전시회와

함께 기업의 해외시장 진출을 지원하는 수출상담회, 학술행사 및 세미나, 세계물의 날 기념식 개최 등 행사의 규모와 내용에서 대한민국을 대표하고 있다.

지난해 대비 행사 규모가 20%정도 증가하였고 아시아지역에서 TOP5에 들어가는 전시회로 매년 점진적으로 성장해 나가고 있으며 전문 전시회답게

관련 종사자들과 전문가들의 참여가 매우 활발하였다.

국제교류행사를 통해 미국, 중국, 일본, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 카자흐스탄, 동티모르, 미얀마, 호주 등 다양한 국가의 해외 인사가 참여해 주었으며

자랑스런 상하수도인상 시상식을 통해 평소 우리나라 물산업 발전을 위해 노력해온 이들을 격려하였다.

세계물의 날 기념식과 연계하여 정홍원 국무총리가 방문하였으며 환경부 정연만 차관은 개막식 축사를 통해 "WATER KOREA는 우리나라 물산업의

경쟁력을 알리고 해외시장 진출을 도모하며 기업과 정부, 관련 기관을 연결하는 좋은사례로 생각된다"라고 평가하였다.

Korea's largest exhibition of the water industry '2014 WATER KOREA (International Water Industry Fair)' is 18 to 21 March KINTEX (KINTEX) in 21 countries, 214 companies participated was successfully held. 20,006 thousand exhibition visitors have visited several countries showed high interest in conferences, seminars and participate in a variety of events gave a variety of connection.

올해 박람회는 작년에 비해 더욱 커진 규모로, 1만7000㎡의 전시면적에 세계 23개국의 다양한 물 산업 관련 기업들과 7개 특·광역시 수도사업자 등 214개 기업·기관이 참여해 총 640개 부스로 꾸려졌으며, 정부/공공기관 관계자, 관련업체를 포함 2만 6천여명의 방문하였다.

2014 WATER KOREA에서 참가기업들의 가장 큰 호응을 이끌어냈던 프로그램은 국내 기업의 해외진출과 시장개척을 돕는 수출상담회였다. 8개국 17명의 바이어가 참여하여 2일간 상담기회를 갖었다.

"우리 같은 중소기업들은 해외 진출을 하려 마음먹어도 마땅히 판로를 찾기 어려운 것이 사실인데, 이번 2014 WATER KOREA의 수출상담회 덕분에 해외 바이어와 좋은 이야기가 오가는 중이다."라고 말해 수출상담회에 긍정적인 평가와 함께 기대를 나타내었다. 또 다른 기업 관계자는 "현장에서 해외 바이어들과 1대1로 대면하며 이야기를 나누니, 그들이 원하는 부분과 우리가 제시하는 부분을 빠르게 조율해 나갈 수 있어서 좋았다"라며 만족감을 표시하였다.

WATER KOREA는 물산업 전분야의 기업이 참가하는 전문 전시회로 밸브, 펌프, 배관, 맨홀, 물탱크, 수처리기기, 계량, 계측기기, 정수기, 해수담수화 등의 제품과 기술을 한 눈에 볼 수 있는 국내 최고의 플랫폼이다. 전시회는 총 7개 카테고리로 분류하여 전문성을 높이고 참관객들이 제품군별로 집중할 수 있게 하였으며, 이 중 상하수도 분야 자재 및 제품을 취급하는 기업의 참가 비중이 가장 높았다.

WATER KOREA is a specialized exhibition where the enterprises in all water industry participate with almost all products and technologies in the fields of valve, pump, piping, manhole, water tank, water treatment equipments, metering and measuring equipments, water purifier and desalination.

The exhibition was classified into total 7 categories considering that the specialties are enhanced and visitors can concentrate to the product groups of their interests. Among exhibition items, the proportion of the equipments and materials in the field of water and wastewater works is the highest among the introduced products.
