Water pollution - adverse changes in physical, chemical and bacteriological properties of water caused by the implementation of inorganic substances in excessive amounts.Water pollutants can be divided into two groups:* Artificial - garbage, sewage and other pollutants.* Natural - occurs when water contains salt solutions, gases, organic substances and microorganisms.
The main pollutants are nitrates, chlorides, sulfates, phosphates, heavy metal ions and others. Acid rains and excessive amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have an adverse affect on water quality.
Pollutants can also be divided into two further groups:* Municipal wastewater - is primarily urban sewer generated as a result of anthropogenic influence. It is a mixture of household waste, feces, pet waste and hospital, baths, laundry and industrial plants waste.

The wastewater treatment plants are essential these days. Those are places where the contaminated water undergoes a long way to be purified. Various filters, tanks, boilers treatment plants operate 24 hours so water is ready to be discharged into the river system again. Workers and machines work hard to purify it. However, water pollution is very negative side of human activity. Thus, we must limit water pollution now!
