SEAXChange:Funded by U.S. Embassy in Algiers, in partnership with LCI Institute, and supported by ChangeMakersXChange (Ashoka Turkey & Bosch).
SEA Xchange | Algeria, standing for Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator Exchange, is an intensive one-week learning program of social entrepreneurship designed for the young innovators in order to solve the surrounding social issues in their community. The program brings together aspiring ChangeMakers from different countries to Algeria in order to teach young Algerian innovators how to kick-start their own social ventures.

WASTED
PROBLEM A huge amount of water is wasted everyday. For exemple: In Yemen the water used for
ablution across the nation reached 3 billion cubic meters annually.
Several Islamic countries are suffering from water scarcity.
- Context
- Water is a vital resource, millions of people don’t have access to it, yet we take it for granted, wasted and even we pay too much to drink it..
- Solution
Agriculture, street cleaning,
gardening ..
BasicTreatement and transportation.
WATER TWICE
‘Water Twice’ is here as a social entreprise and offers a solution by saving water, clean it and re-use it again.

- Spread the awareness about the water value.
- Achieving God’s will.

Zahra Al Helmiya City: proposal using of greywater from residential blocks, mosque, school in green areas.
Technical details - The Sand filter is the appropriate filter used to realize a filtration of the ablution water.
- The Sand filter, designed by an SQU Department of Soil, Water and Engineering research team, cost only $390, which is far less expensive than imported GW treatment units.
- Budgets :
- Why we are unique - First of all this idea or project have never been
introduced before in Algeria,
- Ablution does not affect the quality of water.
- Marketing communication:
- Creating a national network platform,- Using newspapers and the radio.- Making video productions to promote the project. - Awareness campaign and seek the support of religious leaders,sheikhs,and government officials to raise funding.
- For whom- All the public sector is concerned by saving water.- Private or public farming sector ( Farmers, agriculture
lands …..)- Public services gardening.
- Our vision !!!- SHORT TERM: Targeting country side’s mosques for
agricultural purpose.
- LONG TERM: Extending our project in other fields. Using this system in new cities and villages, using sophisticated filtration technology,
- Sustainability - Monthly subscriptions fees for farmers who get the access to our project until we cover the cost.- Use the money collected to reemployment the project in other mosques
