Baby skin is more vulnerable than adult skinThe skin of infants and young babies is physiologically different when compared to that of older children and adults in terms of structure, composi on and func on.Infant stratum corneum is about 30% thinner than that of an adult, and the forma on of the other layers of the epidermis is incomplete. [1,2]

Any product applied to the skin and not rinsed off can be readily absorbed. The absorp on of substances in contact with the skin is greater in newborns and infants[4] for three reasons:

Dermatology TestedWaterWipes have conducted mul ple studies in order to confirm that our wipes are as gentle to the skin as co on and water and do not cause any irrita on. Below is an exam-ple of our most recent dermatological tes ng [12]: Method: The study included 20 adults (both male and female). A sample of WaterWipes was placed directly onto the skin of the infrascapular regions of the back. The patches of WaterWipes were removed at 24hr intervals and evaluat-ed for erythema/redness (a measure of skin irrita on) by trained technicians. The patch was reapplied to the same site 5 days weekly for a total of 21 days, being assessed every 24hrs.Results: No adverse reac ons of any kind were noted during the course of the study.
