Seven decades ago, Jackie Robinson debuted with the Montreal Royals, the first U.S. rocket reached the edge of space, “It’s a Wonderful Life” premiered, President Truman declared the end of WWII, and Watson’s opened its doors in Kenmore, NY. In the back room of the restaurant and soda fountain, our family learned the craft of candy making and perfect-ed the methods and recipes that set today’s standards for all of Watson’s Chocolates.

As we enter into our 70th year of making chocolates, we’ve been as busy as ever and are excited to celebrate the Grand Opening of our expanded flagship store on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore. The larger footprint allows us to introduce a self-serve frozen treat section including a toppings bar full of your favorite Watson’s confections, as well as a small seating area. CelebratingWe are excited to bring to life our throwback 2015-2016 Gift Catalog celebrating some fun and funky designs from years gone by at Watson’s. Within these pages, you’ll find all of your favorite treats for your family, friends, and neighbors. We are proud to offer a wonderful variety of flavors, sizes, and styles designed to suit all tastes and budgets.

Still made with old-world craftsmanship using a process we call Small-Batch Confections, our chocolates are made from only the finest ingredients. All of our nuts are carefully kettle roasted in house, and we use only fresh heavy cream and real dairy butter in our caramels, creams, crunches and chews. Also, we are proud to announce that as of this year, all of the confections produced by Watson’s are made with Fair Trade Certified ChocolateTM.

It’s an art and a science – made by hand in small batches, each sponge is cooked in traditional copper kettles by our highly trained candy makers.

For nearly 70 years Watson’s has long been regarded as the favorite when it comes to this legendary Buffalo confection. Watson’s Famous Sponge Candy is made all year ‘round - crafting about 35 tons of it annually!
