ANNOUNCEMENTSAll announcements must be submitted for approval by 12 noon on Wednesdays. NEW YEAR’S EVE WORSHIP SERVICE: Wayman will worship at Greater Allen A.M.E. Church on New Year’s Eve at 7pm.

BIBLE STUDY CLASSES: Classes will resume on January 10.

PLEDGE FORMS: We are still accepting 2018 Discipleship Pledge Forms throughout. Please give your completed form to Kathy Henderson or place it in the offering plate.

RELIEF EFFORT: The OWLS Senior Ministry is asking for your support to help our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean Islands, who are recovering from the devastation of 2 recent hurricanes. In the spirit of Christmas love & generosity, please give as you are able on December 3, 10, and/or 17. Make your check out to Wayman Church and include it in your donation envelope. Wayman will send one check to the 16th Episcopal District, which includes Haiti, the Virgin Islands, and the Dominican Republic. The donations will be used to rebuild schools and to purchase necessities, such as food, generators, propane, medicine, and tarps. Thank you, Sisters Mabel Tyler and Delores Robinson

BREAKOUT TO SPRING: Come with the O.W.L.S. Senior Ministry and the Civic Association to see "The Color Purple" on Sunday, April 8, 5:30pm, at the LaComedia Dinner Theater. The cost is $44 per person. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY/MEN’S BIBLE STUDY, EVERY 1ST SUNDAY, 9AM: All women and all men are invited.

WAYMAN FOOD PANTRY: The Wayman Food Pantry needs helpers to assist with processing and the weekly unloading of supplies from the foodbank. Please contact Sis. Lois Crutcher at 268-4207 or Bro. Marvin Grose at 836-0099.

WAYMAN TUTORING PROGRAM: Tutoring is available for students in Grades 1-12 on every Wednesday from 4:30-6:00pm.  Please contact Sisters Carol Woodard, Delores Robinson, or the Church office if you would like for your child, relative, neighbor, or friend to participate. Tutors are still needed!

VAN/BUS DRIVER: Wayman is looking for another bus/van driver. Qualifications include, among other things, a valid Ohio driver license, an excellent driving record, and good people skills. HEALTH CORNERThe holiday season is a time to celebrate with family and friends. Focus on a healthy balance of food, activity and fun. By implementing a few simple tips you can stay healthy through the holiday season. (1) Plan time for exercise (2) Include vegetables and fruits to keep your plate balance. TRANSPORTATIONPLEASE COME JOIN US FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL: If you need a ride, call Bro. Damon Woods, 937-304-5575 between 9am and 11am on Saturdays to reserve a seat on the church van.

CHURCH VAN PROCEDURES: Van use request forms must be submitted two weeks prior to the date of the event. A minimum of seven people are required in order to use the van/bus and the van can only be used for Wayman Chapel purposes. Donations for use are accepted. All drivers must successfully complete the required Driver Training Program. Anyone interested in being a driver, please contact Bro. Damon Woods at 304-5575.

FACILITYKITCHEN REQUEST FORM: Members must fill out a Kitchen Request Form to use the kitchen. The forms are located outside of the treasurer’s office, bottom slot. Turn in the completed form to the church office and a kitchen committee person will call you. If your organization didn’t receive the Kitchen Guidelines, please see Peggy Wynn. Thank You!

DO NOT bring any FOOD or DRINKS into the sanctuary or overflow rooms. Food and beverages damage the carpet, leave unsightly spots, and ultimately ruin the appearance of our sanctuary. We appreciate your cooperation and together we can keep our church looking beautiful. Wayman Board of Trustees.

DISCIPLESHIP SEMINAR REVIEWFIRST PLEDGE: I am a church member. It’s not membership in a country club. It’s the kind of membership given to us in 1 Corinthians 12:27, “Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.” Because I am a member of the body of Christ, I must be a functioning member, whether I am an “eye,” an “ear,” or a “hand.” As a functioning member, I will give. I will serve. I will minister. I will evangelize. I will study. I will seek to be a blessing to others. I will remember that “if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” (1 Cor. 11:26).
