foundation. It is good to follow the syllabus and learn the correct way. • Whatever mistakes can be corrected immediately before it slowly become your habit. It is one of the

important points because we tend to live with our habits and once it is in our blood it is hard for us to change. Hence it is better to learn moving of the fingers correctly and practice it regularly.

2. You Will Be Graded • If you are learning through tutor, you would be able to take the exams easily and let it graded, be it ABRSM

or Trinity etc. I have been taught how to play piano in the full course of the examination grades. • The tutor is able to register for the examination on behalf and the tutor is able to teach you all the songs

and the techniques you need to learn for the examination. However, most people learn how to play piano for fun and have no intention to let it graded then you may consider hiring a tutor to teach you the songs you would like to learn.

3. You Will Learn How To Compose • You will be taught the music theory as a start. You will learn how to read scores, theory and compose

songs once you know the basic of theory.

Method 2: Learn Online 1. It Is Cheaper

• Hiring a tutor is always costlier than learning online because the piano lesson is usually conducted in 1 to 1 basis and conducted usually in 30 mins to 45 mins. This is the time you learn each week and it depends how fast you learn during that time.

• The lesson includes theory and practical so if you do not practise well in the week you may probably have to pay more to learn. Whereas if you learn how to play piano online, you may just need to purchase the basic course and upgrade the course work gradually when you feel comfortable.

2. Flexible Time - Learn At Your Own Free Time • Hiring a tutor is always expensive because it is either the tutor has to come to your house or you have to

go their centre. The fixed time they have allocated is unlikely to be changed. Hence it is not flexible. • If you learn how to play piano online, you may learn and practice it at your own targeted time. You would

be able to learn in the middle of the night when you are more relaxed and indulge in the mood lifting music before sleep.
