Waco Cultural Arts Fest (WCAF) dba Cultural Arts of Waco (CAW) Mission: to celebrate and promote the community's diverse artistic and cultural life; develop and enrich its cultural capacity; and champion the economic, social, and educational benefits of the arts in the Greater Waco area and beyond.

CAW realizes these values through several avenues, all free to the public:

Waco Cultural Arts Festival, a three-day festival celebrating hands-on “Arts for All”, performance art includes varied musical genres symbolizing the cross cultural power of music and dance. Attendance has risen from 3,000 to 18,000. Since 2004 the festival has placed educational outreach performances and workshops in the Waco Independent School District investing over $20,000 in school programming for K-12

Waco National Outdoor Sculpture Invitational, which brings unique sculptures by renowned and emerging artists into Waco’s downtown in order to promote art in public places;

Branding the Brazos "Waco Chisholm Trail Heritage" Sculpture, a series of sculptures that pay homage to Waco's role along the historic cattle-drive trail and enable visitors to visualize Texas folklore, culture and history;

Doris Miller Memorial Sculpture, which honors an awe-inspiring African-American hero while providing a place for reflection and learning;

Art at the Arc: a summer day camp for Arc of McLennan County, an organization for intellectually disabled individuals especially autism and cerebral palsy.

The Central Texas African American Heritage Foundation: to foster awareness of African American cultural heritage in Central Texas through interactive programming and educational experiences.

arts festival in downtown Waco.

The festival is one of Waco’s

best loved, FREE events!

11th Annual WACO CULTURAL ARTS FEST Foremost free arts and entertainment festival in Central Texas

DATES: September 25 -26 -27-28, 2014

TIMES: Thurs. Sept 25 WHITE LINEN NIGHT event Fri. Sept. 26. - 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. open mic Sat. Sept. 27 - 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Sun. Sept. 28- 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

LOCATION: Waco Cultural Arts Fest - Indian Spring Park, University Parks Drive along the banks of the beautiful Brazos River in downtown Waco and the Waco Convention Center. ACHIEVEMENTS: Multi Winner Texas Festivals Event Association (TFEA) Zenith Awards. The Zenith and Pinnacle Awards recognize the highest quality in promotional programs and materials produced by TFEA and IFEA. The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) and Zambelli Fireworks Internationale announced Waco Cultural Arts Fest as the recipient of the 2006 IFEA/Zambelli Fireworks Internationale Volunteer of the Year Award and the IFEA 2010 Bronze Pinnacle Marketing Award and Gold Pinnacle Award best website for festivals under $250,000. Waco National Sculpture Exhibition, an entity of CAW, held annually in Indian Springs Park since 2004. With sponsor support over $550,000 of sculpture has been exhibited in downtown Waco.

ATTENDANCE: Attendance is approximately 18,000. Our attendees are mostly married with children, college graduates and students, 18 – 55 years of age with incomes between $15,000 and $65,000. The most common occupational categories are Professional/Technical/Service.

PRESENTED BY: Cultural Arts of Waco is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization. ATTRACTIONS: Artist Market, “Arts for All” hands-on arts activities and interactive arts demonstrations for the entire family. The festival concert stage headliners are a symbol of the cross-cultural power of music with an eclectic blend of Flamenco, Rock, Latin, Blues and World Music. The Waco Cultural Arts Festival (WCAF) promotes diverse artistic and cultural life through a free art and

musical festival that draws over 20,000 people to Waco, the Heart of Texas easy to get to, easy to stay a

Since 2004 the Festival has provided education outreach performances and workshops in the Waco Independent School District investing over $35,000 in school programming for K-12.

Festival guests can stroll through a wide range of creative and original

works of art including paintings, sculpture, wood carvings, jewelry,

ceramics, photography, fiber art, glasswork and mixed media showcasing

the diverse talents of Texas and out of state artists. The Festival showcases

artists demonstrating techniques in clay, painting, and sculpture calligraphy and

more.

The “Arts for All” program supports many community events including “Brazos

Nights” and “Art at the Arc,” a summer camp for children with autism and
