I am sure that most of our readers

have heard of or played Minecraft, so I

won’t go through what it is. Minecraft

has

become a very popular game. It is get-

ting more and more known and soon it

will

include features that no-one would of

thought of when it was first released.

The Majority of Minecraft’ers play normally

which is to survive in a world of Mobs. But

a lot of people (like me) prefer to build and

have fun. So people have coded some mods

to run in the game which enhances the

game and makes it fun! I will name a few

that I use:

‘Planes’ - this is when you can make

your own planes and fly them.

‘Single Player Commands’ - this is the

mod which is basically what its like online,

where you have your command box and can

spawn items and fly etc. Minecraft, in my opinion, is one of the best games to date. You rarely get bored and is really fun.

Modern Warfare 3

M odern Warfare 3... Nobody know

what it looks like (no footage), which

means no one knows what it sounds

like but there are unbelieveable

amounts of hype, but why is this?

Battlefield 3, looks amazing, sounds amazing but

not much hype.

Ever since the release Call Of Duty: Modern

Warfare, all we hear about now is COD this and

COD that, when no one really likes the latest two,

but play it because their friend does, agree?

However, recently Battlefield has been fighting an

unwinnable fight, till now. With Battlefield 3 and

Modern Warfare 3 releasing within days of each

other, the argument about who will win in the

sales is imminent.

You could argue that after a recent dip in quality, Call Of

Duty is now in a prime position to be knocked from its

perch, although most COD fans would argue that the

foothold that it has in the market it unbeatable and

that it can never be beaten. Quite frankly I think it

would be a shame if COD got knocked off the number

one spot, but I would love it see Battlefield achieving

the same sales figures as in some aspects, it’s the

better game.

Declaration of War

Both sets of fans squabble over the online,

which is what games are judged on nowadays, which

quite frankly is stupid because they’re both the same!

Almost no one plays the objective because people think

that getting the most kills means you’re better than

your opponent... WRONG! If the idea of the game is to

win by capturing the flags, capture the bloody flags!

Call Of Duty players are especially guilty of this and

that’s a reason I strongly believe Battlefield could

begin to win back the title of best FPS game.

I suppose only time will tell now, tell us your thoughts

S haun White Snowboarding, the only real snowboarding

game. You start off with almost no money, and have to

gain cash by winning races or free

styling down 1 of 4 environments; Europe, Park City, Japan and

Alaska. All of the 4 environments are exquisitely

designed for on and offline play, and with the free-roam ele-

ment of the game, you can have endless fun. Up to eight play-

ers can be together at the same time, so think of you and 7 bud-

dies shredding the slopes together!

However, there are a couple of minor problems and one very

big one... There can be slight lag at points which isn’t to bad

and there can be some

connection issues but the main problem with playing online is

glitchers; idiotic people that ruin the game for everyone else. An

incredibly easy to do glitch has been exploited many times by

the gaming online community and therefore a lot of people

have unlimited money, which means that while you are trying to

play fairly, these spanners are thunder-

ing down the slopes with clothes and

snowboards on that will take you hours

to get.

Not to worry though, because overall

this game is brilliant, the graphics are

very good, the game play is very

refined and the concept of the game

is outstanding!

Pre-Owned Game Of The

Month

S o, here I am, 3 months after its release I am finally talking about

Test Drive Unlimited 2! Where do I start on this... Interesting game?

Well, overall, this game is amazing and has ticked all the right boxes

for single player and almost all of them for multiplayer, but we’ll get on to

that in a minute.

Loads of beautiful cars, 2 stunning locations and a free-roam concept that

could potentially be the best a game has ever seen.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a very difficult game to review as, really, it’s a love

hate sort of thing. When the game was first released, the servers may as

well have not been on because it was virtually impossible to join up your

friends, or anyone to be honest.

However, after leaving the game for a while so Eden Games could sort it

out, it became an instant favourite of mine! What beats driving around

Ibiza or Oahu (Hawaii) in a Pagani or Bugatti, right?

The first instalment of the game didn’t have any real storyline, but that

has all changed now! You compete in the Solar Crown, a series of races

which you should finish with in Hawaii, and lets just say... You’ll be a few

quid better off!

The selection of cars at your disposal is staggering! Ferrari, Pagani,

Bugatti, Audi, Gumpert, Mercedes... The list goes on and on! Plus, with the

DLC that is almost imminent, there will be a lot more in a very short space

of time.

Poker, Roulette and the slot machines aren’t normally something that you

expect; at the cost of 800 MSP, which for the amount of fun you can have

is a very small price to pay.

All in all, TDU2 is a great game! A few technical hitches in the beginning

hasn’t stopped this game becoming a great!

A definite for all racing fans!
