WDC World Championships

World Dance Council (WDC) selected Setia Spice as its 2019 Professional Ballroom World

Championships. In 2017, WDC also chose Penang as the venue for Professional Latin World

Championships.

AHSA World was among the guests in both events: in 2017, AHSA World Chairman Dr. Hal

Lim was among the invited guests; in 2019, doubling as Chairman and Acting President of

AHSA World, Dr. Hal Lim was also one of the invited guests.

Penang took great pride in being the first Southeast Asian city to host this most prestigious

professional world championships event.

Steve Powell (Vice President, WDC), Hanes Emrich (General Secretary, WDC), Yuan Bin (Vice
