Prevent Workshop

Thank you to all the parents who

attended the session on

Thursday morning– it was really use-ful. We will follow

up on some of these issues in the workshop on Safer

Internet Day.

Morecambe Street Closure

Last Friday we welcomed Councillor Livingstone to Morecambe Street to see how

the road closure is going. Councillor Livingstone is the Cabinet Member for the Environment. He was interested to see how well the system is working and he was able to take time to talk to our Junior Travel Ambassadors and also some parents too.

ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY

Our whole school target for attendance is 96%,

Congratulations to Y5H– Martin Luther King Class and Y2R– Rosa Parks Class– 100%

attendance!

Growing Against Violence

On Tuesday morning our Year 6 children

took part in a workshop with the charity

‘Growing Against Violence’.

The children really enjoyed the session:

"in our lesson with Andre, we were

discussing gangs and why we shouldn't

join them. During this I learnt things which

I have never known before; I wouldn’t

change a thing! I have loved this session

and wanted it to be longer. In conclu-

sion, the workshop was very helpful and

gave me a new perspective on gangs”

Zahreddine Year 6

On 23rd January, 20 children from Year 3/4 went to an Athletics competition at Harris Girls East Dulwich. The children

competed against lots of other schools and had a great time.
