FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Even though I walk in the dark valley

I fear no evil; for you are at my side

With your rod and your staff

that give me courage.

Psalm 23

The Responsorial Psalm for this Laetare (Rejoicing) Sunday could not be more ap-

propriate. We rejoice in the Lord who is our strength and salvation. I chose WE

JOURNEY TOGETHER as the theme for Lent 2020. I could not have imagined

how our prayer, fasting and almsgiving would be shaped by a pandemic. We pray

with and for perseverance; we fast from our daily routines and securities, and our

distancing only draws us closer to our neighbor. It is not the Lent we asked for but

it is the Lent we have been given. We journey together.

Thank you for your patience and perseverance. It is frustrating to fast from so

many good things at the parish. I am confident that our Lenten fast will mold and

mature us. There remain many good things to do from home. My thanks to Mark

DeSilvio who provides online the Stations of the Cross and my Sunday homilies.

Formed daily and Dynamic Catholic offer brief daily messages.

Are you fueling the fire of our parish mission? Online giving is a convenient tool

for you to use, and we I strongly support Online Giving and Offertory Envelopes

which are both provided to us by Our Sunday Visitor. Online Giving is the safe and

reliable electronic way to participate in the Sunday Offertory. Visit our parish web-

site: saintclare.net and click on the online giving link. Create an account. Sched-

ule your recurring gifts. Please prayerfully consider giving online. If you have a

question feel free to contact Lisa Gros at 440-449-4242 ext. 113.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

God bless America.

See and Pray stations AT HOME with our online video

Read and sing along with Fr. Klasinski

Open a browser and navigate to

www.SaintClare.net > Pastoral Blog > Stations with Fr. Klasinski

Click the link under “Stations with Fr. Klasinski”

Each video frame (sample above) has two parts:

Left side SEE Saint Clare’s beautiful paintings of each station

Right side READ the prayers and sing the chants with Fr. Klasinski

The video is a wonderful resource to share with family and friends who

want to pray stations but cannot due to illness or infirmity
