HOW DO WE KNOW WE ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF LOVE ?

Dear Jacob’s Heart Community,

Every day at Jacob’s Heart, we sense love when hearts connect. We see it in the eyes of parents and siblings sitting at a precious child’s bedside. We feel it in the touch of a hand or a warm embrace. We hear it in softly spoken words … thank you… you mean the world to my family… I love you to the moon and back.

This past year, 1,469 family members facing the challenges of childhood cancer found love at Jacob’s Heart. Love was present in every counseling session, home visit and ride to the hospital. Each bag of groceries, family care package, and payment for rent was delivered with love. As we said good-bye to 12 children, we were united in love with their grieving families.

One of the most awe-inspiring acts of love we’ve experienced in our 21-year history came from 16-year-old, Andrew Perez, who on the eve of his one year anniversary free from cancer, completed a challenge and raised $50,000 to support others like him. Love in action.

The accomplishments, ambitions, and data shared in this report represent the manifestation of our love, and yours. And we thank you wholeheartedly for the love you’ve shared with our Jacob’s Heart family.
