Global Innovation and Delivery.The Jetsperse family of dispersions enables inkjet ink makers to access easy to use products that allow for faster penetration into the solvent, aqueous, dye sublimation, and energy curable inkjet markets.

• Jetsperse Eco – Designed to make ink formulation as quick and easy as possible, the Jetsperse Eco family of dispersions will provide the proper starting blocks to enter the growing eco solvent inkjet ink market. A full C, M, Y, K set is available @ 15% pigment load in ethyl diglyme, or DPGDE, solvent, known for its low VOC content and compatibility with printhead components.

• Jetsperse S – A family of dispersions for use in solvent based inks, this range offers formulation flexibility using both cyclohexanone and EB acetate as the inkjet vehicle. If you desire to formulate using a liquid dispersion that provides fast dry times and formulation stability, these are ready to use, commercially proven dispersions.

• Predisol IJ – Available pre-incorporated into a resin, Predisol IJ are available in a solid form using Sun Chemical’s proprietary Predisol process and Sun is able to offer in a full C, M, Y, K set.

• Jetsperse AQ – Improve your inket formulations with a high color strength dispersion set for aqueous inkjet ink applications, featuring a self-dispersing carbon black and surfactant stabilized black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. Jetsperse AQ pigment dispersions are specifically designed for high performance aqueous inkjet inks and offer formulators the advantage of Sun Chemical’s wealth of R & D knowledge and understanding of the inkjet market.

• Jetsperse DS – A dye sublimation solution for the expanding digital textile market, Jetsperse DS dye sublimation dispersions work effectively across a range of polyester-based substrates. They can be used in direct to polyester fabric, transfer sublimation from paper to polyester fabric and a variety of other polyester coated substrates.

• Jetsperse UV – A range of dispersions for energy curable inkjet that allow inkjet formulators to make energy curable inkjet inks with higher optical density, achieved through higher pigment loading, and still remain in a printable viscosity range of 5 to 15 cps. Choose Jetsperse UV dispersions to maximize your color strength and minimize printer down time with highly stable energy curable inkjet formulations.

Eco Solvent & Solvent Inkjet DispersionsSun Chemical Performance Pigments has two offerings for the formulator needing a pigment dispersion product line for use in the formulation of either eco solvent or solvent inkjet inks. Both inkjet dispersion lines exhibit excellent printhead stability and maintain excellent filtration and viscosity properties. All colors have an average particle size that meets or exceeds the formu-lators’ needs for solvent inkjet, with most of the range having an average particle size below 200 nanometers. Inkjet inks for-mulated with Jetsperse Eco and Jetsperse S dispersions have dependable filterability and a narrow particle size distribution.

Jetsperse Eco Dispersions Jetsperse Eco dispersions are low VOC dispersions that allow ink makers to formulate inks with easier, less frequent print-head cleaning cycles and are suitable for designing inks for use across a range of media. Jetsperse Eco dispersions eliminate the lingering odor associated with most solvent inks / disper-sions and promote a more versatile work environment.

Jetsperse S DispersionsUsing industry standard solvents to assure comfort to the for-mulator and compatibility with other formulations, Sun Chem-ical’s Jetsperse S dispersions will provide the right solvent to dissolve the resins and enable the proper “bite” into vinyl substrates. 7Predisol IJ Dispersions

Predisol IJ Solid DispersionsPredisol IJ are pigment preparations in a granule form, finely pre-dispersed in vinyl resin. They require no further grinding. All the pigments are specially selected to meet the requirements for use in outdoor applications with proven weather fastness. Pigment particles are optimally wetted, allowing development of the maximum color intensity and transparency of the base pigment.

to offer. Delivering inkjet ink formulators a family of products that are easy to use, the

Jetsperse AQ product line offers nano-particle dispersions which play a key role in maintaining

long term ink stability. Making inkjet inks that filter well is easily achieved with Jetsperse AQ dispersions.

The set is comprised of a cyan PB15:3, two yellows PY155 and PY74, a mixed crystal magenta combining PR202 and V19, a magenta PR122 and two black dispersions. The set is based on a surfactant dispersant system to allow for fully optimized and compatible inkjet inks. Additionally, Sun Chemical has launched a polymerically stabilized set of spot color dispersions, particularly a very stable white pigment dispersion.

technically advanced dye sublimation dispersions which are designed to make formulating dye sublimation inks that will exceed ink makers’ expectations for both color and

vibrancy in process color printing. Our dispersions can be used in a wide variety of consumer product applications, in particular the apparel and soft signage markets.

Delivering qualityOur dye sublimation dispersions are designed to work effectively across a range of substrates, with demonstrated success printing on polyester fabrics for textile printing, polyester coated glass, ceramics and polyester coated metal surfaces. The Jetsperse DS dispersion line is manufactured to be highly stable and exhibit Newtonian properties, which will yield Newtonian inkjet inks. This feature will ensure that an ink maker’s final formulation will withstand the higher printhead pressures and higher speeds being introduced by the digital textile markets’ newer printing presses.

Pigment Dispersions for Energy Curable Inkjet InksSun Chemical Performance Pigments is now offering a pigment dispersion product line for use in the formulation of energy curable inkjet inks. The UV inkjet dispersion products exhibit excellent printhead stability. All colors have an average particle size less than 200 nanometers and a narrow particle size distribution. Inks formulated with Jetsperse UV dispersions have dependable filterability and are rheologically stable.

Sun Chemical Acquires the RJA Dispersions product lineSun Chemical Corporation acquired RJA Dispersions, LLC to complement its existing product offering so that Sun could offer the market the broadest portfolio of ready-made dispersion for the digital inkjet ink markets. This includes offerings for the energy cure, solvent, eco solvent and aqueous inkjet ink markets. This additional product line set helps Sun Chemical drive home the value proposition it instills with its customers, that Sun is able to save our customers time, money and effort through the use of world class dispersions.

RJA Dispersions evolved into a leading manufacturer of resin-free fine-particle dispersions in water, solvent, plasticizers, and acrylate and vinyl monomers. The RJA product line, now part of Sun Chemical, is known for its ability to make consistent, high-quality dispersions. Sun Chemical continues to offer stable, nano and ultra-fine dispersions of pigments and particles, which provide the unique size, filter-ability, stability, color consistency and transparency required for ink jet inks for advertising and graphic arts applications, and for transparent coatings. Sun Chemical’s Hudson Wisconsin site will continue to manufacture UV, solvent, and water-based materials in the U.S. for sale world-wide using the same formulas and processing techniques that the RJA Dispersions, LLC customer base has become accustomed to receiving and Sun Chemical looks forward to promoting these additional codes to make sure Sun is offering the market the most complete set of products for both small and large scale development opportunities.
