wellstar’s newest surgical facility welcomes the

opportunity to serve you. located on the 4th floor

of the Kennestone Outpatient Pavilion (KOP),

our outpatient surgical center is designed to

maximize patient-centered care and provides you

with a private and very personal surgical experience.

Easy access from Church Street offers patient drop off, or immediate access to an adjacent parking garage. You can easily enter the building from the parking garage and head to our 4th floor location. Our private entrance to the 5th floor of the parking garage makes for privacy, ease and comfort upon surgery discharge.

Our doors open and the elevators begin service at 6:00 a.m. The lobby is open 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. with surgical time between 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Light refreshments are available in the lobby, so family and friends may stay close by, be there for you shortly after your surgery, and ready to escort you home upon discharge.

Our services are patient-centered, and include expedited bedside registration, fast-track anesthesia, high-performing operating rooms, Surgical Assistants, the newest surgical equipment and technology, WiFi connections, patient tracking, and private consultation rooms. We strive for the best in your surgical experience.

• Bedside registration: Pre-registration by telephone, efficient check-in performed bedside optimizing patient convenience and comfort.

• Anesthesia services: Our anesthesiologists are critical members of your surgical team. An anesthesiologist directs decisions pertaining to pre-operative medications, regional pain management, anesthetic techniques, and use of prophylactic drugs to minimize side effects (e.g., pain, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness).

• Rapid recovery: New techniques in anesthesia allow for rapid recovery in the post operative setting. A physician oversees every patient receiving anesthesia, and patients are only discharged once strict criteria are met.

• Prompt discharge: We allow for a safe and prompt recovery and discharge process, which allows the healing time at home to start sooner.

• WellStar Pharmacy Network: Our retail pharmacy can fill your prescriptions on site (inside WellStar Kennestone Hospital), so you can have all your medications before leaving for home.

• Newest equipment and technology: The 24 patient care rooms have full functionality for patient monitoring. All six operating rooms boast the latest in high definition endoscopic equipment and LED lighting.

• Patient tracking: During your visit, family and friends will be able to confidentially track your progress from the waiting area.

• Consultation rooms: After surgery, friends and family members may meet in the private consultation rooms to talk with your surgeon in person or by phone.
