Thanks for taking the time to stop by and see what God is doing at the Hillcrest Seventh-day Adventist Church! We invite you to join us on Sabbath or throughout the week as we gather to worship our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. You are always welcome here! Our prayer and desire is that Jesus’ name is lifted up allowing God’s Spirit to prepare our hearts to experience Him in a renewed and encouraging way. We are excited about all God is doing and exist to proclaim His name through lives changed by the power of the gospel. We hope you will come back, soon.

Welcome! PRAY WITH US Please pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our church and THE ULTIMATE HOPE meetings to be conducted Sept 7-28! "It is the privilege of every Christian, not only to look for, but to hasten the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Zeal for the glory of God moved the disciples to bear witness to the truth with mighty power. They were weighted with the burden of souls...they claimed the endowment of power that Christ had promised. Should not this zeal fire our hearts with a longing to tell the story of redeeming love, of Christ and Him crucified? The love of Christ, the love of our brethren, will testify to the world that we have been with Jesus and learned of Him." Selections from Evangelism, chap 20. Please come to the prayer room to join our evangelist 1/2 hour before each meeting to pray. A prayer team will be on duty each Sabbath morning…look for those with the button “May I pray with you.”

HOMELESS MINISTRY OUTREACH TODAY Good morning and happy Sabbath church family! It’s time for our lunch on the streets event and we are ready to hit the park. We will meet in the fellowship hall to make our lunch sacks at 2 pm and could use your help. If you and your family would like to help volunteer we’d love to have you join in on the fun! After making the 200 pbj sandwiches to put into our lunch sacks we will caravan together to MLK park to get the giveaway started. Thanks for your continuous support, God bless!

PATHFINDER LEADERSHIP MEETING (6PM) Pathfinder leaders, please meet with Debbie Combs in the Pathfinder room on Wednesday, September 25. If you would like to be a Pathfinder Teen Leader in Training

“And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:18

Paul the Apostle, was writing to his spiritual son, Timothy, when he made this reference. We know from the telling of Paul's life in the Scriptures that his life was difficult. He was stoned, beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned and persecuted at every turn. I am sure there were times where he struggled with discouragement. But even through the darkest moments, we do know that he eventually came to a place where he declared as in Romans 8:38 that nothing on earth or in heaven could ever separate him from the love of God in Jesus Christ. Paul knew that the Lord would rescue him from evil and safely deliver him into an everlasting kingdom where there would be no more pain or suffering. No matter what trials you are suffering at this moment, you can rest assured that the Lord will rescue you and safely deliver you into an amazing, everlasting kingdom.

~ Pastor Petsch
