Members of POSA World Federation

Switzerland was the first country to join POSA, quickly followed by Russia, France, Brazil, Italy, the United States of America, Belarus, Czech Republic, Canada, Ukraine, Finland, Romania, Korea, Slovakia and Mexico. Many other countries are in the process of creating their own federations and joining POSA in order to provide global values, experience, and standardization to the art and sport of pole.

Pole Sport – What is that? Pole Sport is an acrobatic sport, which is performed on the vertically positioned pole. Pole Sport requires strength, endurance and flexibil-ity from the athletes. For competitions the figures, spins and drops must be performed in form of a rehearsed choreography on a static as well as on a rotating pole. The Code of Points – the set of rules for POSA World Federation – provides information about the elements which must be part of the choreography and in which way they have to be performed. Accord-ing to this set of rules the jury judges the performance of the ath-letes.

The Pole Sport World Championships 2017

On the 16th and 17th of December 2017 the Pole Sport World Cham-pionships will be held in the Principality of Liechtenstein. During these two days the elite of Pole Sport will compete. 200 Athletes from 50 different countries are expected to take part.
