We are thrilled to have K&K as the continuing apparel supplier for the JBT! All the great JBT shirts, embroidery, and other merchandise comes from these great folks, as well as the special designs for the Las Vegas Main Event, TPC, and other special events throughout the season. They also are a great awards supplier and designer, and created the awesome laser-engraved acrylic winners’ awards for Main Event and TPC. And of course, their sister operation K&K Pro Shops has locations throughout Las Vegas to serve you. Be sure to thank a K&K representative next time you see them for supporting us!

Bowling a 300 game is still a very special event on our Tour, and so far this season, 17 perfectos have been tossed. This is a lower number that’s a reflection of our more demanding lane conditions laid out to challenege

our bowlers even more this season. Each bowler gets a custom-embroidered 300 club shirt from K&K Sportswear, gets on our 300 banner and website for life, and earns a chance to wear our JBT 300 club rings.

Here’s this year’s perfect bowlers:

2010 TOURING PLAYERS’ CHAMPIONSHIP: Kris George, Las Vegas, earned his 24th career JBT title with a tough victory over Marshall Kent, Yakima WA. Meanwhile, Stacey Lamb made JBT history by becoming our youngest Major champion. At just 7 years old, she outlasted the tough field over 26 games, averaging over 130 in the process. Both bowlers earned $2,000 scholarships for the TPC triumphs. 2010 DESERT OPEN: Marshall Kent, Yakima WA, continued his dominant summer, as well as Pac NW domination of this event, by capturing the scratch division of the Desert Open. JD Sweet, Chandler AZ, wrapped up his handicap career by rolling through matchplay to earn the handicap crown. The giant glass cactuses continued to be a smash hit. 2010 BEST IN THE WEST: Riley Dempsey, Phoenix AZ, captured his first Major in what would develop into an all-conference Bowler of the Year season. Meanwhile, Sandy Truman continued to thrive in the crazy Best In the West format, winning his 2nd title in this tournament. Bowlers play all matchplay for two days, with standings determined by points instead of total pinfall.

2010 LAS VEGAS MAIN EVENT: Kyle King, the dominant force on our Tour, finally added a major title to his unbelievable JBT resume by winning the scratch division of the Main Event over fellow Arizonan Greg Geering. Jerome Jordan Jr., Los Angeles CA, spared the 2-10 in the tenth frame for an exciting handicap division win over Stephen Fentiman. Elise Bolton captured the Girls Scratch crown with an impressive win over JBT veteran Allie Ijams. Over $45,000 was earned by an extremely talented field!

2011 INVITATIONALS: Over $35,000 in scholarships were awarded on Invitational weekends alone. Winners were (l-r) Cameron Smith, KJ Martinez, Billy Read, Josh Demick, Wesley Low, Shauna Schultz, Perry Crowell IV, Zoe Mahn, DJ Sloan, Jeremy Cardines, and Sarah Boe (’10 Girls Invite)

FROM THE DIRECTOR

On behalf of the entire Junior Bowlers Tour family, I’d like to thank you for reading this yearbook, and hope you’ll enjoy these pages as a celebration of another wonderful season of JBT competition, excitement, and friendship.

There are so many people who help me make JBT events happen every week, and they all deserve a huge amount of thanks. Pac NW director Evan Olson and assistant director Jerod Florez are my right hand men, keeping things flowing at each event and also during the week as we prepare for the next adventure. Bruce Hemer, Bruce Lee, Matt Cormack, and my raffle sales teams all make it come together as well. We are lucky to have terrific host centers, and they and their management and staff are vital to our success. All of our sponsors are invaluable in presenting a quality tournament at a reasonable cost, and we appreciate all they do. Gene and Alice Preston at the Awards Store make our plaques and George Gaucin makes our rings, two things all too easy to take for granted, so I want to make sure how much they know they are appreciated as well! Most importantly, thank you, the bowlers and family that take the time and expense to come to our events. We know it’s a difficult world, and we try very hard to put on a good show for you. We hope you leave every JBT event having had a great time and having made some great memories. We are working hard behind the scenes to make 2011-12 even bigger and better with a full schedule of fun events all over the country for you. Please help us make it successful by spreading the word to everyone that JBT is for them too. Thanks in advance, and see you soon!
