European Petanque Championship 2010 - On top with Sitetalk in Ljubljana SiteTalk got on top of the European Petanque Championship for Women (EPCFW) in Ljubljana 19th - 22nd of August as main sponsor of the event, and WE are happy to conclude that the event was a huge success and that the SiteTalk community could contribute to make it happen. WE got inside of it all through one of the organisers who also was the SiteTalk representative during the event, her reflections are inspiring to anyone taking not only part in the SiteTalk Community, but extend-ing it to include their interests, their personal network, their business, their goals, yes, that special thing we call life.

The brave idea to host a European Petanque Championship for Women in Slovenia, a small country with only 250 licensed petanque players, was born last year on a Slovenian Petanque Federation Executive board meeting. Ten years of experience in Slovenia with this over 100 years old international sport and a few enthusiastic people with a great vision took the decision and worked hard for over one year on this project. Since I was at the same time get-ting to know all the benefits of our SiteTalk business, meeting with the management members and attending some great Unaico events in Europe, it struck me like lightning – two visionary projects, both with strong leading people and both in need of publicity and branding, go well together. So this story began…

Ursa Skof, organiser and participant in the EPCFW and SiteTalk sponsorship representative

The Maldives, far away, but not so far awayLast year the Unaico member Leadership was invited to the Maldives as a reward for their efforts, but due to the unfortunate circumstance of an angry Volcano spewing ash in the atmosphere, the trip was cancelled for the Europeans. But soon in about one month’s time they will get their due reward, enjoying the lush beaches and vistas of the Maldives. Something to think about…
