Keys to Success Keys to Success
• A strong academic curriculum for kindergarten through eighth grade in the subjects of language arts, math, social studies, science, as well as in art, physical education, and music
• Maintaining / increasing current enrollment in the school (this will ultimately affect the need for an expansion plan for the school)
• Increasing function of the Advancement Office to allow for more communication and marketing with current school families, and the greater community
• Organize marketing plan in relation to 4 main pillars for success: Communication, Fundraising, Volunteerism, and Enrollment
MarketingMarketing
Communication
We must foster meaningful relationships with our core and extended community. We must
promote our brand and reputation to a wide community.
Fundraising We must develop, plan and
implement cost-effective and proven fundraising activities.
Opportunities should exist that reach a broad base of donors as well as those that are internal to
the school.
Volunteerism We must assist in centralizing,
coordinating, and managing the school’s volunteer programs in
support of the school’s mission and vision statements. We will develop opportunities for school families
and non-school members to participate in programs in cooperation with the PTA.
Enrollment We must have a simple but well
designed recruitment and retention plan to maximize enrollment goals.
As part of this plan, we must understand the potential for growth
and the need for possible expansion.
CompetitionCompetition
There are over 27,000 private schools in the United States, serving 6 million students. Most private school students (83%) attend religiously
affiliated schools. Competition for special emphasis schools in the secular sector is low
on a national and regional level. Average tuition is highest in the secular sector.
*Highly structured programs and schools for children with disabilities are not competitive. Programs with a paid administrator rather than high parental involvement are less competitive. Parent-teacher cooperatives
are extremely competitive.
Tuition Schedule 2013-2014 Tuition Schedule 2013-2014
A tuition rate of $5,000 is extremely competitive in comparison to national
(~$12,000) and regional (~$4,000-$10,000) secular school tuition levels.
