El Sol Annual Report 2016
El Sol relies on monetary and in-kind donations to operate services that address
critical needs of our community. In 2016, our funding came from In-Kind support
(rent, volunteers, food, etc.), Foundations, Individual donors, and Special Events.
401 Volunteers gave a total of 10,356 hours, the equivalent of 5 full time staff!

El Sol celebrated our 10th anniversary in Jupiter in 2016!
The year was filled with exciting events such as the visit from the President of
Guatemala and the Mayor of Jacaltenango to El Sol. We continued to host
community events such as the Jupiter Police Department’s Annual Soccer
Tournament, the Health Fair and the El Sol Fest. We are so grateful to receive
grants and donations locally and from all across the nation. It is a privilege
and honor for us to work in Jupiter alongside such outstanding community members, many of
whom volunteer at our center. We invite you to read our annual report and join with us in seeing
that together we can make a difference. El Sol shines brightly in Jupiter and our community.
VALUE OF SERVICES In 2016, the services we provided the Town of Jupiter add up to an estimated $1.61 million
dollars! That includes all the volunteer hours given by our community volunteers.
