Year 6: ‘My Learning Newsletter’ 2 English Maths We would like you to continue completing 2 pages per day of your GPS SATs revision book. It is also very important that you continue to read at home. Every child in the class now has access to Reading Plus at home. We would recommend that you complete at least 45 minutes a day on the programme. Your teachers will be keeping in touch with everyone on a weekly basis to monitor how you are using the programme. Please see attached notes on how to access the programme. Complete the attached questions about different types of word class (noun, verb, adjective etc…). You may need to remind yourself of what the different definitions are by referring back to your GPS revision book or looking online. (The answers to these questions will be given in your next newsletter) We would also like you to complete the questions based upon the image entitled World Travel’. Remember to answer the questions in as much detail as possible, trying where possible to give evidence and examples. Complete the dictionary activity and crossword. English Maths

We would like you to continue completing 2 pages per day of your GPS SATs revision book. It is also very important that you continue to read at home.

Your task is to produce an informative leaflet that explains the importance of keeping our hearts healthy and how they work. This can be presented on paper or it can be word processed. You may wish to include diagrams in you leaflet which can be hand drawn or sourced from the internet.

Geography project: Following on from our work on BIOMES. Your task is to produce a newspaper report about deforestation. You must try to include facts and figures, as well as detailing any positives and negatives to deforestation. Remember to try and include quotes, images, captions and a headline.
