We’re Going On A Bear Hunt: Retell board Preparation

Print out a board for each child, or group of children up to 3. Laminate. Staple each picture on the board in the centre (or you could attach a paperclip or another small metal item). Print out one family per board (below). Laminate. Attach a magnet to the back.

Instructions

Only use when the children are familiar with the story. Give the child or group of children one board and one family. As you tell the story, children move their family from place to place and repeat the name after you. Later, children can be left to retell the story to each other on their own, using the board.
